The Drum Roll:

Well Denver fans are not very friendly, went to my LSB (again bc the wont show the phfins on TV :boohoo:) and by the time I arrived, seats were very limited except for a long bar like table in the middle of the restaurant. Seated at it was one lonely Denver fan, I figured I could sit all the way at the other end and not bother him. He took one look at my RB jersey and said, "Sorry this whole table is taken." I thought he had a large party coming so I took another table even further away from the screen. In the end only one other person showed up at the table. Later on the manager turned a screen right in front of me to the Dolphins game. So I got to give him a "Sucks to be you" look.
Later and GO FINS!!!!!

Comment:The Dolphins have a couple of ugly losses, but they are 2-1 in the AFC East and are one fluke Brett Favre touchdown pass from being undefeated in the division. (TG)

Comment: Don't look now but they're in the playoff mix. Chad Pennington has really played well the past two weeks. Tony Sparano is doing a wonderful job.

Comment:
The story I read said that 13 of the team's points came from turnovers. I've never been able to figure this out. At what point in the field does a turnover qualify as a turnover that sets up points? Say, for instance, you intercept a pass on your own five. And then drive the length of the field for a TD. Does the turnover get credit for setting up the points, or does too much length separate them? I'm not, kidding, I really don't know what the rules are that govern this thing.

Looking for a sleeper team to emerge in the second half? Don't count out the Dolphins, who "earned" their favorable schedule thanks to last year's 1-15 atrocity. In their final eight games, Miami has games against each AFC East rival ... but the other five games are against the Seahawks, Raiders, Rams, 49ers and Chiefs -- teams with a combined record of 9-31. THIS WEEK: vs. Seahawks (2-6)javascript:void(0);

Comment:Solid defensive performance in a tough environment. Winnable games with Seattle, Oakland, New England and St Louis on deck

Dolphins Rank: 22 (-)

Comment: Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter had a busy week, getting a penalty called on his alma mater on Saturday and then getting into a war of words with Brandon Marshall. Porter has 11.5 sacks in eight games, and as long as he keeps playing this well, he can talk all he wants.

Comment: Tony Sparano deserves all of the praise that's been heaped on him this week. He completely outcoached Mike Shanahan last week. However, he's got to act like he's been there a bit. And now the problem is can he keep his team focused as they try to deal with "success"? The Fins are just 12-29-1 ATS in their last 42 home games. This is how good the Dolphins (5-2 ATS run) have been: every team that Miami has played this year is .500 or better, with the exception of a talented San Diego squad.

I post this thread every Thursday during the regular season unless life prevents it.

Good work, most people just post individual power rankings each week and clog the forum. Nice to see someone put the work into a qualtiy thread.

Nice of Dr. Z to throw a totally random and unrelated to the Dolphins thought. Did he have nothing to say about us?

I posted in another thread how much this one pisses me off.

Our '1-15 atrocity' from last year only "earned" us games against the 5-3 Ravens and a decent 3-5 Texans team. This favorable schedule he talks of is because we get the Rams, Seahawks, 49ers, Raiders, and Chiefs....all of which we would get to play regardless of our record.

I suppose the Pats earned their favorable schedule that includes the Rams, Seahawks, 49ers, Raiders, and Cheifs because they went 16-0??

Hmmm.....the 16-0 Pats get to play the Steelers and Colts instead of the Ravens and Texans. They're opponents have 2 more wins than ours....everything else is the same. Yea, alot of help the 1-15 record had for our schedule....:rolleyes2:

Sports writers really need to get a **** clue.
