The Drum Roll:
I was pleased to see that I wasn't the only Dolphins fan at my local sports bar this weekend. I think ther ewas a total of about 5 there. One guy I talked to actually used to have season tickets until his company moved him up here. Funny how he kept saying, "Right there! that was my seat!" hehe.

Anyway, here is to hoping that Chad can get that fourth quarter spurt rolling early this weekend.

Later and GO FINS!!!!!

Current Rankings:

ESPN

Dolphins Rank: 28 (+2)

Comment: They failed to mount any semblance of a ground game and their receivers were invisible. Breakdowns and penalties showed the Dolphins have a ways to go. (TG)

Dolphins Rank: 31 (-1)

Comment: With no passing game threatening down the field, they couldn't run the ball at all. The receivers need to step up their games. Yes, you, Ted Ginn Jr.

Comment: After all the smack I talked about Chad Pennington last week he was absolutely awful against the Jets. He was erratic, had happy feet in the pocket, and basically reminded any Jets fan that was having second thoughts about why he drove them crazy. I understand that the Fins rushed for just 2.9 yards per carry in the game, but they gave up on the run way, way too early. This led to way too many third-and-long situations, and that's not Pennington's forte. The Miami defensive front was impressive, and in a game in which they were totally outplayed the Dolphins still put themselves within 20 yards of a win. This is a rapidly improving bunch.

Comment: Well, they took the Jets to the wire, and that despite a terrible start. And being a natural pessimist, it's that start that concerns me. Chad lacked what is known as pocket presence. I mean the tap tap tap of the foot, oh oh. He settled down, thank God, the team came on late, one play the likes of Carolina's at San Diego and they'd be celebrating with stone crabs and cold bubbly. Ah, well.

Fox Sports

Dolphins Rank: 24 (-)

Comment:
Tuna's new team is a work in progress with absolutely zero expectations of turning the Dolphins around in one season. Bill Parcells should be pleased that his team is much more competitive that the '07 Dolphins, and they had a chance to beat the Jets at the end of the game.

Dolphins Rank: 29 (+1)

Comment:
Looks like a typical early Tuna-era team. Should play teams tough this year.

Oregon Live

Dolphins Rank: 31 (-1)

Comment:
Ricky Williams averaged 2.4 yards per carry against the Jets.

Sportz Nuts

Dolphins Rank: 26 (+4)

Comment: Breakdowns and penalties showed the Dolphins have a ways to go, but they were gritty and didn't give up.

21 (21)Cardinals1-0-0The Cardinals showed a more patient, disciplined side in grinding out a 23-13 victory at San Francisco. Arizona must improve its red-zone offense. (MS)

I'll take it, at least we're starting to get a little bit of recognition, right?

can only go up from 1-15...unless you go 0-16...but I don't see that happening at all...this team (not all aspects of it) showed a lot of fight at the end. need the WR's to be more aggressive and not give up on the run so quickly...
