Dolphins Rank: 19 (-3)
Comment: An opening loss to the Falcons was a reminder of how tough this ride will be for the Dolphins. (Clayton)

Dolphins Rank: 24 (-5)
Comment: It's the same story as it was at the end of last season: Where's the passing game down the field? Chad Pennington has to get it going.

Dolphins Rank: 19 (-4)
Comment: In their past two games that have mattered, the Dolphins have lost by a combined score of 46-16 to the Ravens and Falcons, the other two surprise turnaround teams that, like Miami, went 11-5 and made the playoffs in 2008. From those results, it's hard not to deduce that Baltimore and Atlanta have sturdier foundations than the Dolphins on which to build.

Dolphins Rank: 19 (-2)
Comment:
GLASS HALF FULL: The running game continues to be a core strength of this team, with Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams combining for 4.8 yards/carry in their opening loss at Atlanta (82 yards, 17 carries).
GLASS HALF EMPTY: Last year's AFC East title is history, and step one in 2009's very difficult schedule was a failure. The question remains whether or not Chad Pennington can dink-and-dunk the Dolphins deep in the playoffs.

Dolphins Rank: 21 (-4)
Comment: I struggled to put my finger on what Miami was all about this preseason, and their clash with the Falcons didn’t help. Are they a dink and dunk offense? A power running game? Is their o-line the foundation for success? Do they lock things down on defense? No, not really... to any of these questions. They just looked mediocre in all aspects so it leaves me thinking, maybe they’re just a bad team. Up Next: Indianapolis Colts

Dolphins Rank: 25 (-9)
Comment:The Dolphins were the most improved team in the league last season, going from one win to 11. However, I predicted they would suffer a set back this season and though it’s only been one week, it appears I might actually have gotten something right for once. They couldn’t run the ball and their passing game was average at best. I just can’t see this team being overly successful this year.

Dolphins Rank: 23 (-)
Comment: Last week: 19-7 loss at Atlanta. The Dolphins, despite the 11-5 record last year, are simply not good enough to win games when they suffer four turnovers, including a rare three lost fumbles (two by TE Anthony Fasano). Next up: vs. Indy (Monday night).

Dolphins Rank: 18 (-)
Comment: They really need to do something with that offense. No further comment.
