Dolphins ranked 30th

They will not be an easy out for any team on any Sunday. They will be a feisty bunch. I still think Chad Henne should be the starter, but Chad Pennington will be serviceable.

Dolphins ranked 30th

As bad as Miami may be, I like what the Tuna has done so far. Pennington is a good fit for the offense, and Ted Ginn Jr. is an excellent fantasy sleeper.

Dolphins ranked 28th

Usain Bolt could walk in tomorrow and be this team’s No. 2 wideout.

Eh, none of these people know anything. They obviously don't pay attention to anybody (outside of last years top 10) during the offseason. We'll see where everybody has us in a few weeks.

As much as I don't feel they are 30th ranked, until they put some wins together no one else will feel the same as we do. Dont worry though by the end of the year I think people will start to see.

We were 1-15 last year, where do you think we should be ranked since there haven't been any games yet this year ?

who cares what ppl think.. they will all have dif opinions on us after the season is over with

Interesting.....I didn't realize these were the extended version of week 17 in 2007.....

So it doesn't matter how we've looking so far in the preseason? Last year is all that matters? That's interesting, considering the Giants beat the Cowboys, Packers, and the Patriots to win the SB last year, but nobody even has them in the top 5.

How about the Jets? Want to go off of how bad a team was last year? They were 4-12, in a 4 way tie for 3rd worst in the league. Yet they are ranked 20th, with 8 teams below them that had better records in 2007.

But because they have Favre bringing all that attention, he gets factored in. What, other teams don't have to show something first, but Miami does because they were 1-15?? Gimme a break, they week 1 rankings and are supposedly based off of what teams did in the offseason to improve. I people wanted rankings based off of last year, they can dig them up.

Here's the reason why we're ranked so low.

We have barely anything good on paper. Stats rule these guys' "rankings" and predictions.

Why is our team so good? One reason is the R&R Express, but what are their reputations, what's known about them to non-Dolphin fans? One is injury prone (not that I agree that he is) and the other has already flaked out multiple times.

Our receiving core? Not one player who has posted decent numbers EVER. To me, and to all fans here, Ginn LOOKS LIKE he's going to have a break-out season, and we have 3-4 hopefulls that we all think have potential, we play the numbers games and think that we'll be OK in one of our weakest positions, but to an analyzer, there's NOTHING there to write home about.

QB? Everyone sees us as inheriting the garbage of another team. Penny has the rep for not being able to throw past the line of scrimmage, and even though TO US that have watched/analyzed almost every pre-season snap he looks calm, poised, ready to lead, to the commentators just see another veteran QB that we've picked up.

Our O-Line is anchored by a rookie. To us, a very capable rookie, but a rookie to everyone else.

Our defense? Joey Porter has been, our most veteran player in a group of otherwise no-names, plagued by injury all season. What does the country know about our defense? We lost JT and ZT. They know nothing else because no one else is a real name.

From watching pre-season, reading practice blogs and such, I feel very confident we're a top 16 team. However, I don't fault these analyzers for having no faith and looking at the cold hard facts. They don't look at all this stuff with a fans heart like I do.
