Power structure

There are soooo many posts here that talk about the "so called" power structure of the team. So many people getting bent out of shape over reports coming from so many twitter accounts. Not to mention, "I won't believe it till I hear it in a press conference" .....Damn people, while this is MY team too, and I would like to see them improve, I'm not going to wast my time on the power structure. I don't worry about the power structure at Ford, GM, or Toyota...etc, etc. just build a damn reliable, safe car!! How it gets done I don't care....just a bunch of people making A LOT more money than I do, and I have NO CONTROL over how they handle their business. (except to not buy their product).

Just let it all play out, man. I have been a fan for a LONG time as well...never saw them win a super bowl either. My first painful experience was the "sea of hands" playoff game against the raiders. So many ups and downs over the years, I finally figured I'd get off the emotional roller coaster. It is what it is. On game day, I look at it the same as watching a movie....good parts, bad parts, and I either love or hate the ending!

We, as fans have become way too involved for our own good. I really miss the days when we didn't have all this information coming out non stop. We had a moment to take a breath between the final game, and the draft. Now, stuff is thrown in our face by the media, and there is a constant "stirring of the pot".

I am looking forward to seeing how the draft, and the upcoming season play out, and hopefully, our team can become a consistent winner again. But for now...I think I need to give it a rest....my brain hurts!!

the internet info onslaught is definatly a 2 edge sword.

the thing right now that bothers me the most is so many fans bash the hack writers saying they ARE hacks, cant be trusted, liars, haters, , etc... .

unttill one writes something about a player, executive, coach or topic they agree with. THEN its spot on "journalism" and used as proof in every debate.

and of course, if the hack writes something CONTRARY to their opinion, the writer is an idiot and scum of the earth with NO clue.

and this HICKEY hatred is becoming a phenomenon. i have NEVER seen a player, coach or exec become such a hated figure in such a short amount of time. especially when EVERYTHING the guy brings to the table is EXACTLY what the team needs. ALL media fueled. and their eating it up!!

jay fiedler, wanny and ireland are just a passing conversation compared to the hickey hatred.

Love everything in this thread. I agree. Look...Ive been a fan since the summer of 1970. Along for the ride for basically every thing great the Dolphins accomplished. The team was regarded as the best outfit in the league forever. All the bashing, in my opinion, comes from a lot of shallow johnny come latelys. You're right when you talk about how there is too much information and your head hurts with all the updates etc. Lol. We never even knew any of this and were no worse for the lack of all the gory details. Everyone take a deep f*** ing breath.

I WILL, however add that the organization is obviously only a shadow of what it was 40 yrs ago. It's like all that's left is the name. Even the logo is different. BUT. You live long enough, you see things are cyclical. IT'S MY TEAM. Till the end.
