I have read the game recaps from the AP, ESPN, etc. I watched the NBC halftime. I watched the ESPN highlights. Nowhere have I seen the officiating error mentioned. I don't understand how you can have an official blow the spot of the ball by 3 yards, immediately prior to a FG that just scraped over the crossbar, in a game that was decided by 3 points...and it is not a story anywhere. It is as if it didn't happen. That was one of the worst officiating mistakes I have ever seen in an NFL game.

Nobody's mentioning it in the national media because nobody cares

Tony Romo's injury is obviously more important news

They spotted it at 1st dn instead of at spot of foul. Huge fack up by the officials.

This was like the infamous 5th down play in college. This was such a blatant error. It should have been a 61-yard FG attempt, and you wonder whether Jacksonville would have even attempted a 61-yarder there, or tried for a Hail Mary. It was a massive play in the game. You can't miss a spot by 3 yards in an NFL game.

It's not mentioned cause this game was fixed for sure. Almighty NFL had some plans

Ive noticed that my passion for this game is slowly eroding away. Of course, my passion is still leftover from the Shula yrs.
Still look forward to gameday, but no longer allow this team to set my mood for the rest of the week.
Between instances like this and the Pats cheating scandals I'm starting not to care.
I didnt even watch the championship games or the SB last season. That was a 1st for me.

It was a bad call and bad spot. Likely cost us 3 points.
But let's not forget the drive before we had an opportunity to cash in and score a td ending the half. We failed on offense again.
Bottom line is its the nfl things tend to even out (unless your New England) most games come down to what team executes down the stretch. The dolphins failed to score on 6 straight possessions to end the game. That is the difference. Good teams don't let a bad spot in the first half change the outcome of the game

The way it was going probably better off. Allen Robinson would have caught a Hail Mary

I don't blame the refs.
I blame Franks for missing our FG, and I blame Grimes for dropping an easy pick that would have at the very least set us up for another FG attempt. We sucked yesterday.

When you're out there trying to be aggressive before the half, you can get a gift like that. The refs are going to be subject to human error like anyone else. I lay more blame On Philbin, Lazor, and especially that doofus Coyle for being incompetent assholes. Not the refs.

That's what I saw too. We have to do better than 20 points a game to win consistently in this league. Yesterday we had no running game at all. Made it too easy for their D to keep everything in front of them. We're never going to get behind them if we don't make them honor the run.

I can't stand all the penalties. Its like every play there is a yellow flag and most of the time the penalties have zero impact on the play. Its taking away from the game especially suspected Pass Interference calls.

Had philbin taken the :10 runoff jacks would have never been able to attempt a FG. Not to mention we would have either gotten the ball closer for Franks or scored a TD. 6 or 10 point swing due to douchebin not understanding the value of a time out - again.

If we had identified this soon enough, Joe should have thrown the flag to correct the spot. This was a bad decision and it should be highlighted.
