Jacksonville's defense played well. Their leading tackler had 3 tackles. That is outstanding.

Reggie Howard was the leading tackler for the dophins, with 5 tackles. It's never good to have a corner lead your team in tackles. Next highest CB had 2 tackles. He is not starting material.

David Bowens was second on the team, with 4 tackles, including a sack. He played well.

BIG JOSH SHAW played well, with 4 tackles.

Running Backs played well, except for Gordon, but were a non-factor.

Maurice Mann, 9th WR, led all receivers in catches, with 89 yards, including a great long pass from BROCK BERLIN.

Although I've been supportive of Feeley in the past, he did not move the football tonight, infact, 3 QB's had scores, and he didn't.

Run defense looked pretty good to me, however, reviewing the stats, they gave up 150 yards rushing... not so good.

My Comments: I was really disapointed with Feeley tonight. The stats don't seem to justify these feelings, but I felt Sage should be bumped up to the #2 QB, with Feeley/Berlin competing for QB #3.

How can you say that a CB having 5 tackles is NOT good and then in the same breath say that because a CB only has 2 tackles that he is not starting material? Isnt that talking out of both sides of your mouth?

Reggie Howard Shows improvement

"But that allowed Howard to show drastic improvement. Howard was beaten deep twice against the Bears, both times reacting so poorly that he was at least five yards from the receiver on both plays."

''I thought he was doing OK,'' Saban said. ``. . . I thought Reggie played well and Travis played well.''

He stinks, time to cut him and sign Ray Mickens.

ps. Corners can only make tackles, AFTER his receiver makes a catch.

He means Reggie Howard is not starting material because he had so many tackles.

Playing time is not reflected in the statistics, meaning Howard COULD have played the whole game, and 5 tackles would be good. However, corners with lots of tackles, in general, are being picked on, because they are playing poorly. Starters Sam Madison and Travis Daniels each only had 1 tackle.

Deion Sanders used to go many games with no tackles... it might seem like he's not contributing, however, it also means the receiver he was covering, probably the best receiver on the team, had no catches.

O line looked good a couple of penalties on McDougle and Mckinney. As for the qbs Berlin actually looked the best. I understand against 3rd and 4th teamers but it was still impressive. Feeley and Frerrote still equal in the race for qb. Ricky looked very good so did all of our young tight ends. If they dont make our team they will all make other nfl teams. Daniels looked good before his injury and Bell is very fast and i would say is locking on to that number one spot. Madison still Madison. Not impressed with Matt Roth yet.

Roth had 0 tackles... he's not getting sacks in practice. Maybe it wasn't a wise move to lose Surtain for Roth... time will tell.

Looking at the passing stats, Miami had 240 yards passing, Jacksonville had only 200 yards passing. Maybe howard isn't as bad as I thought.

its way early to tell, but since when does everyone you draft in any given year workout? roth could be the guy that flops for us.

Yes, 10 tackles for a defensive lineman means the running back is getting stuffed at the line. 10 tackles by a corner means his receiver just had 150 yards receiving. Tackles for corners are generally bad.

The real story is the defense gave up 0 points and 29 yards rushing and had 6 sacks. You a Bills fan or something? Your not seeing the big picture.

here is what I noticed. Zgonina and Traylor had awesome sacks. Think about that for a second..............our DT's are getting sacks and i mean quick sacks! Traylor is what 400 lbs and he was in there faster than JT!

I am starting to agree with the anti-feeley group. He is showing me nothing that would justify keeping him here for another year. If he does not improve, let's start ferotte, make sage the number 2 and berlin the number 3. Hopefully someone will emerge as a true starting quarterback and if not, pick one up in the next draft or free agency.
