Soooo.... Let me see if I can get this straight. I just watched the most mind-numbing game of my life, and it ends with my beloved Dolphins hitting the dumper head on. Then a little graphic appears at the bottom of the screen which then presents to me a cute little nugget of the angering sort.
"Miami - first 0-2 start since 1988". So I'm bitter. Then "Miami - First 0-3 start since 1969" Are you f'n kidding me?!?! 1969!?! Does it take a complete rocket scientist to figure out that the personnel running this team and playing for this team just ain't cuttin it? Aighh!!! So the season starts with Wanny getting a 3 year extension (with stips), Marino is named VP of Ops then quits 3 weeks after starting because of Wanny. Our OF coordinator jumps ship and runs to Oakland and Spielman is named GM. (Lovely! 'note the sarcasm') Then a week before TC, our resin-brained ex-running back hits the road for higher enlightenment. Our best off season aquisition shreds his knee in pre-season practice. ( I mean we talking 'bout practice. I mean practice!) Starting full-back hurts himself (again), Left Tackle hurts himself. Then it's injuries galore! I swear I'm gonna be an alcoholic before this season ends. It's just one thing after another. My biggest problem is Wannstedt. You'd think my furry-faced nemesis would have some inkling as to what a coaching job calls for. He personally named every single starter of our OL. He spent more time repping his lap dog Feidler in pre-season, rather than getting the new guy ready. Is anyone else fired up about this?!! Wannstedt starts his tenor blaming the best QB of all time for the then current state of the team. Then proceeds to drag everything the fans love about this team, through the Pro Player's Jeanne soaked mud. After tonights game I'm confused. The D still looks great. Best in the NFL (on paper). The OL looks a lot better than it did last week (that ain't saying much). Feeley still looks really rusty (that I blame on Wannstedt). And (OMG SHOOT ME!) Our new RB goes down. I'm not gonna sit here and blame Feeley. The guy has been the starter for 2 weeks. Played in the NFC for 3 years under a QB that was known for his love of the short ball. I gotta give him time to grow before I throw him under the bus. 2 games isn't the judging factor. But our OL. Good lord. What Wanny doesn't seem to pick up what we're putting down, is this. You give a screaming post game team conference, and give these YOUNG guys the responsibility of fixing every problem up front in 1 week. You gotta focus on 1 thing at a time. So what's it gonna be? Have these guys run drills on opening up holes for an offense that was completely centered around the run (which in my opinion was the worst mistake ever made!) OR have these guys run drills on getting AJ more time? I can't grasp this? Can you? What has gone wrong with this team? How do we from Greise, Csonka, Shula, Duper, Clayton and Marino to Abdul-Jabbar, Wannstedt, Huard and Feidler? Is there is major malfunction if the karma current or has Huizenga fallen of and completely broken the rocker?! I've had it!
-War the phins going 0-16 to get the #1 pick in the draft and nabbing Cedric Benson (550 yards rushing, 5 TD's in 3 games so far; Not to shabby)
-War the phins going 0-16 so Wannstedt can't even get a job coaching pee-wee football in Kalamazoo
-War the phins going 0-16 period. Cause, hell, if your gonna be the worst atleast be the best at it :fire:
