As good a guess as any :) The line more than any other position is up in the air. Any number of guys could make the team and just about anybody could end up starting.

I think the ONLY thing set in stone is Carey will start somewhere -and thats about it!

We know this...for the most part Cam wants guards that can move, and think, and are tough. He wants his bigger players at tackle (he's said this a couple of times - sorry no link).

So Toledo (who was going to start last year before injury) is now a tackle. LJ Shelton is now a tackle, and RT is probably his best position anyways.

So in all likelihood Carey starts at LT and Shelton at RT....though I think Cam would really like to see Alabi starting at LT and Carey at RT....it just seems that isnt going to happen.

It also seems to me, that ultimately Cam would like to see Hadnot at Guard. I felt he was overwhelmed at times by bullrushes...but snapping the ball doesnt help that. We also drafted 2 centers so that seems to indicate as well. But somebody will have to stand out there for Hadnot to be moved. I think Mormino and perhaps Satale will get every chance to win the job - although Cam has mentioned Satale's ability to pull and move so it looks like he prefers him at guard. Only time will tell. I think ultimately they will find a way for the five best lineman to start. Heres how it may play out though

LT Carey/Alabi (backup)
LG Satale
C Mormino
RG Hadnot/Stevenson
RT Shelton/Toledo

They probably keep one other guy on the roster and then one guard and one tackle on the Practice squad. probably Tuolo and Wilson (saw some scout say this guy is a starter in a year)

I think its going to be:

LT: Carey/Rosenthal
LG: Satele
C: Hadnot/Mormino
RG: Liwienski/Toledo
RT: Shelton/Alabi

LT: Carey (Shelton)
LG: Hadnot (Liwienski)
C: Satele (Hadnot)
RG: Toledo (Mormino)
RT: Shelton (Alabi)

Wayward, you nailed it. Mormino will back up Rex at C. Toledo and Liwenski will battle for RG. Satele is set to play LG.

If we keep 9 O Lineman, there will be some interesting battles.

Figure Carey, Hadnot, Shelton, Liwienski and Satele will make it.

So those are 5 locks.

Who makes the roster among the rest?

Rosenthal, Toledo, Mormino, Julius Wilson, Danny Stevenson, and Alabi
battling for 4 spots probably. Perhaps two go to practice squad, if eligible (younger guys).

Alabi should be in good shape to make it. Too much potential.

Stevenson was a nice pickup last year and could be the new Joe Berger, i.e., the young guard we are developing. He practiced with the first team and that may portend his sticking.

That would be 7.

Last two spots?

Rosenthal and Toledo will get every opportunity, but they are in jeopardy of getting cut if they do not practice well. That may depend on Mormino and Julius Wilson, and whether they are ready or will be relegated to the practice squad.

My guess is Rosenthal and Toledo survive this year, with Wilson and Mormino slated for a practice squad year. These 4 will then compete with some new talent next year, when I think you will see a Sam Baker, Jake Long, or Jared Gaither type, along with a young guard, come to South Florida.

Make no mistake, the offensive line will be the weak link again this year.

LT Vernon Carey from the U
LG: Chris Liwienski
C: Samson Satele
RG: Rex Hadnot
RT: Anthony Alabi
