It’s probably the most favorable schedule on paper at least that I can recall which makes it tough.

But this oline isn’t fixin to forcin teams out of all that 2 deep man under we are sure to be seeing this year and between the lack of leadership and accountability and current holes in this roster still and the high potential for implosion with the wrong guys considered leaders in the lockerroom etc. I’d be hard pressed to predict even a winning season here.

Maybe if the qb could actually carry it. But I have no reason to believe that’s in the cards either.

So I won’t be. Despite the schedule.

8 wins last year without Tua for 6 games, Chubb all season and Phillips for 13? games. Getting 3 of our best players back is massive and shouldn't be overlooked.

8 wins with Eichenberg, Jones, Holland and Poyer playing nearly all 17 games? That's addition by subtraction right there. Losing TStead, Campbell and Ramsey will hurt though, no getting away from that.

I'm not sure how the floor is 4 or 5 wins as some have said unless Tua is out for 13 games or so. Tua has never had a losing season as the starting QB, we win more than we lose with him and we win a lot at home. We've had rosters much, much worse than this and still had a winning record.

The majority of the difficult games this season are at home for a change, they don't have many cold weather games, they have a few games on the road in a dome. The schedule looks ok if not a little favourable.

BUT... as with every year we are going into this season with a lot of if's. If Tua stays healthy, if the new safeties don't stink, if the new guards are better, if a strong position group doesn't get destroyed with injuries, if Paul isn't a disaster, if AJax can play more than 6 games etc. The roster is threadbare on the depth front, something Grier should rightly be criticised for. It's not a cap issue either, he just hangs onto some players for too long, even bringing Eichenberg back when the whole fan base doesn't want to see him on the field ever again.

I can see anywhere between 11-6 to 8-9 with a mostly healthy roster. For them to have less than 8 wins means the team has been decimated by injuries again imho.

Also, why are people giving the Patriots love? Can anyone explain it to me other than "Vrable will make them physical". Their OL is still one of the worst in the league, they have next to no weapons in the passing game, they have a QB who has shown flashes but they haven't really helped him. I'm just not seeing it for them this year and they are still sitting on a mountain of cap space when they should have been overspending to see what they have in Maye.

The Patriots drafted the best OL Will Campbell. They also added several free agent OL. They signed Stefan Diggs at WR and drafted a WR in the second round, Kyle Williams. They also drafted a very good center Jared Wilson. Between the draft and free agency they improved their team more than any other team improved.

You can never assume the injury bug will not hit Miami because history says it will and that it will be devastating
#2
The team regressed terribly last year from Reeks antics to capri wearing coach looking 👀 totally overwhelmed.
#3
There was no major changes in the staff or front office that would facilitate improvement. They shuffled the deck chairs on the Titanic.

I would have voted for less wins than the minimum shown.
They were more likely reach seven Ws somehow just a screw with the draft in 2026

Campbell was still projected as a better guard than tackle. Maybe he does well at tackle eventually but like most rookies he should struggle. Wilson won’t play, they signed bradbury who’s a great run blocker but pretty bad pass blocker. It’s still not a great overall line and heavily dependent on a rookie playing their most important spot while probably not playing his best position.

Diggs was showing signs of decline 2 years ago, he’s now 2 years older and coming off a major injury. With all the cap they had they failed to provide a young qb with appropriate weapons.

Their front 7 is pretty rough aside from Milton williams and Landry.

Most importantly Maye is still raw and probably another year away from being a threat. He flashed plays but never really whole games. It was 1-2 great plays followed by multiple bad ones and missed throws. Add the fact that QBs tend to struggle their second year now that teams have full tape on them in the pro’s.

They’ve improved absolutely but that’s from being one of the least talented teams in the nfl so it was tough not to. I still think they aren’t a good team yet.

I’ve seen people projecting them as a playoff team lol reminds me of everyone getting overhyped about the jets when they signed Rodgers only to fall flat two years in a row.

I guess I should count my blessings with only 25% kidney function and a limit of 32 ounces of liquid a day.

Other than that, I'm perfect - except for my teeth, my diabetes, and my lens replacements, along with my two back surgeries and a bowel resection - plus I'm losing my hearing and my hair. Hey, getting old isn't for sissies!

Thank God I'm an optimist! - LOL

And yet we still have posters who wail like banshees about the Dolphins performance and how it "sears their souls".

I have a pretty good idea why their "souls" are being "seared"; and it has more to do with the Devil than the Dolphins. - LOL
I'm at the point where everything I've broken is now coming back to haunt me. Wrist (fell off a 50ft. cliff), Shoulder (football), lost finger (****in racket ball court door, who knew!), ankle (dislocated it four times to date), heel (fell off a roof), ribs (****in carneys, I hate carneys to this day!), this of course is not counting the stitches, multiple broken noses and chronic ear ringing from blowing **** up with gun powder, 500watt amplifiers and shooting ****. lol.

Moral of the story, stay away from alcohol in excesses and wear your hearing protection! 🤣

For me it's injuries rearing their ugly head again. A bunch of guys who get injured often ... many just returning from being hurt ... makes sense. I feel better about the QB depth but other positions not so much.

There has to be some sort of pennance for priority signing absolute trash in Eich, Borom, & Carman. I doubt the universe lets that one slide. I'm guessing the avalanche starts with one of those cadavers seeing playing time and it cascades from there ... stay safe Tua.

The talent on defense also worries me tremendously while the offense has been figured out unless McD has some tricks up his sleeve. There are all sorts of ways the wheels could come off this thing.

But, but, but the facts don't support the "Butt hurt" whiners. - LOL
