See, I knew there had to be some optimism in there somewhere! - LOL
Look, I want the Dolphins to win so badly ... but at the same time, I'm a realistic fan. I'm not a delusional, "rose-colored glasses" wearing, "unicorns, rainbows, & everything is peachy" fan. I tell it like it is ... good and bad.

And honestly ... I see a bad season coming. I really do. I hope I'm wrong, I really do ... but I see massive changes on the horizon, if this season is gonna be as bad as I think it will be.

Plus, and this is on a "personal level" with me ... but after the way the 2023 season ended, and how they choked that season away in the final 5 weeks of that year, I SWORE TO MYSELF A SOLEMN VOW, that the Dolphins would never "tease me" like that EVER AGAIN! As a result, the Dolphins ... as much as I love them and will always be my team ... they have reached a PERSONAL POINT with me, where they have to earn my trust and faith back.

Fair enough.
I hope you get to "give yourself a break" this season and get to enjoy it - assuming that the Dolphins will do as well as I expect them to.

Ill keep an "evil eye" on them during the season (I always do), while possibly doing something better with my time on Sundays (I work some Sundays).

But if the Dolphins want to be taken seriously, and if they want to start earning my trust back, they can start by doing 3 things:
- Beat the Bills at least one time during the season (I dont care if its in BUF or MIA ... beat them AT LEAST ONCE ... split them).
- Win a big game WITH STAKES ON THE LINE, on the road in the month of Dec
- And speaking of Dec ... stop being afraid of "Frosty the Snowman" & "Old Man Winter" in the Month of Dec. Grow some ****ing balls, TOUGHEN UP, and play hard in the cold, instead of playing like a bunch of pussies in >40 degree weather.

Start with that, and then maybe you'll start earning my trust back. Until then, they can **** off, until they start acting like a serious franchise.

I really don't have a very positive outlook for this upcoming season. I would bet they do not make the playoffs. What their record will be is a question. Even with Tua I still think they take a step backward from last year.

The Defense secondary is atrocious at this point. So, we will need to score a lot and often and I just don't think Tua can get it done in games that matter, He has proved this and that is not debatable. Just look at games we had to win and didn't. The game that really shores it up for me was the Arizona game that we should have won and things broke down late in teh game.

No this game was not on Tua but he also never took charge when he had the opportunity. That is what I see in Tua. Good. Not great or elite.

I was looking at the schedule. They better get off to 6-2 start at worst. Because I don’t see alot of teams in the back end I feel that will be easy wins.

I went through schedule and blindly said 6-2 start being very dolphin homer. After that. I struggled to get them to 10 wins. lol

Preseason predictions are typically pretty worthless. Even for Vegas who seems to be the best at it.

For example, they had KC and the 49ers as the two teams favored to win the SB at +500 and +600, respectively. The 49ers ended up with a losing record and the Chiefs were blown out in the SB.

The Ravens, Eagles, Lions, and Bengals were the next in line betting favorites to win the SB with + 1000, 1200, 1200, and 1300 odds, respectively.

The Eagles ended up winning even though their odds were double that of the 49ers. Cinci ended up missing the playoffs with one more win than the Dolphins. The Lions ended up decimated by injuries and failed to win a playoff game. The Ravens were beaten by the Bills in the playoffs even though the Bills odds to win the SB were lower at +1600. The Dolphins were only ranked 3 spots lower than the Bills in odds to win the SB.
