Predicting the Dolphins' 2023 season, from Week 1 to Week 18

I think that's a very fair way to look at it....I know some people will say we're going 15-2 or something crazy like that but 12-5 with the teams we're playing this year is very good and it "might" be enough to win the east.

I looked at the schedule.

Immediately said 15-2.

Then I saw your post lol.......

Agree. Some knob on NFLN , last night, predicted Miami would go 9-8.

Personally, 11 or 12 wins seem reasonable.

yeah I go into every game thinking we can win but knowing we could lose......the 5 games listed as lost, we might win one or two of those but we could also lose one or two of the ones they have us winning.......just have to take one game at a time

DING, DING!!! Anyone who's played organized sports for very long knows their are games they should win, but for some reason, nothing 'clicks.' It's as if the team is flat. easy to lose those games and I expect Miami to lose one. OTOH, there are teams that should be a loss, but, everything seems to click. Lucky plays work. The other team seems slow. I expect Miami to win one of those.
Tangentially, when good teams playing each other, it is common for the win/loss to come down to coaching decisions. One good/bad call can be the difference. That's my concern with Mcd. If he's learned, Miami can pull out 1-2 of those.

Like the game w/ the Chargers last yr?

IIRC, Boyer had multiple DB's 15 or so yds of the line of scrimmage on a 3rd & 8.

Bottom line... Replacing Boyer w/ Fangio is IMO worth at 2 more wins

11-6 is my prediction.

AFC is just absolutely loaded, and our own division is gonna be pretty tough sledding. The Dolphins have a hard schedule, but getting four of the last five games at home is wonderful! I envision control our own destiny scenario (and hopefully take the division in the process).
That's what I'm thinking. There isn't an easy out on the schedule and 11-6 actually may be good enough to win the division.

Twat Knot is going down! 2-0 sweep of the green assholes, book it.
Hoodie is going down! 2-0 sweep of the Massholes, book it.
The jackwagons are splitting 1-1, see you in the playoffs!

Good points. McDaniel is really a big key to this season. I remember the Pittsburgh game when the Steelers had a chance trailing 16-10 late. McDaniel had passed up a FG earlier and instead of being up 19-10 had to rely on an Iggy interception to seal it.

I like that McDaniel is bold, but sometimes the conservative call is better. Staley was a better coach in his second season with the Chargers, relying less on outrageous decisions. McDaniel has to be in year two for the Dolphins to have a real chance.

I find it a little confusing to say (correctly) the AFC is tough and the AFC-E is tougher still, BUT it will take 12-5 to get a seed. If, in fact, the AFC is as tough as it seems, it is not unlikely 10 wins can get a seed and 11 a division winner.
Miami (and the AFC-E/NFC-E) could come down to last man standing. A lot of good teams to beat up on each other

That's why I'm glad we have them early before the season drags on and before international travel. Good chance to get that W in week 4 which should be important down the final stretch of the season.

Edit, I also love Baltimore on week 17. What's the odds that Lamar makes it a whole season and is healthy going into week 17?
Probably about the same odds as Tua being healthy going into week 17

That seems like the script to every season.

We believe we know, but really have no real idea who the top & weak teams of each season are until a good amount of games in.

You people just can't resist can you?

14-3. No idea who the three are as I think we can beat every team on our schedule.
when I look at our schedule, with the defensive additions of Ramsey and Long being so good and so specific, I don't see an offense where we can't match up with.

if you're a run centric team your facing a defense that is excellent against the run with the addition of a very good mike, if you're a pass centric team you're facing a defense that has possibly the best secondary in the league with the addition of Ramsey and the very talented Cam Smith, with legitimate edge pass rushers and depth.

if youre a tight end centric offense good luck mr tight end when Jalen Ramsey comes over to cover your ass.

but yet, here we are. Why did Tua have to do when someone brought up Lamar? I'm assuming since you included " might " in your statement you know it is false.
Because I knew Tua and Lamar had missed roughly the same number of games the last two season

And no, I used might because I don't know, and there's a chance I may have typed his name since the season ended, but I don't remember doing so. Don't deflect.
