most of them having us finish 4th in the AFCE again (way to reach fellas ), however sporting news ( i think that was the one) has us going 8-8 and the bills going 4-12 :)

i strongly doubt 4-12, us and the bills should have almost the same record, i hope the jets are 4-12 though...

I do think we will end up with a better record than the Bills.

im going to go out on a limb here and say we are going to have a 10 win season. quote me.

I never thought last year was going to be as bad as it was, so you never know. 8-10 wins seems very feasible becuase the staff, coaching, and running of the organization seems so much more structured compared to last year.

If they are saying the Bills will go 4-12, its probably not the best magazine to read.

The bills biggest problem is how they just dumped bledsoe...then threw in losman who has no experience what so ever

there really better everything on that kid...personally i think hes gonna look like a deer in the headlights this year

There oline is bad so hes gonna struggle

I think he'll throw about 14 tds and 18 ints

bills will go 5-11

With Losman at QB I think it only makes sense that they are predicted at around 4-12.

If Losman totally bombs out they aren't just going to leave him in. Holcomb could do no worse then Bledsoe. Predicting 4-12 is just homer talk to me, but play in your fantasy land for now, I really don't care.

  • Saban: Expectations lead to Frustration. We are focusing on one play at a time. You don't think about a planting a flag at the top of the mountain while your standing in base camp.
  • Saban noted that he wants to have a team in 2005 that overachieves its modest expectations and lays the groundwork for bigger and better things. Pas/ESPN
Seems to me Saban himself is reserved on this record topic and rightfully so.... he doesn't even know what he has yet. Under promise... over achieve seems to be the call of the day.

It will takes weeks into the season to get into the playbook on offense and that is if everyone stays healthy. Less so for the defense but it will still take time. There are going to be blown assignments and players thinking instead of playing. It's a process. I would think evaluating the team every 4 games if reasonable in the first season to measure progress.

Sit and watch, many of the things Saban is establishing may not show up in the win/loss column. IMO it's going to be a great Dolphin season provided that injuries are not and issue.

i read them all at work and the most informational one says it all depends on Feeley or Frerrotte, but we should be capable of improving by 5 wins.

BTW: Every preview mag is all over Ronnie Brown

I bet those idiots were the first to say the Pats were not going anywhere when Drew went down and Brady took over.

Why is it that someone llike Losman who's regarded as having better potential than Brady "coming out of college" cannot have a decent year when he just like Brady has had a year sitting on the bench before being handed the starting job?

No one is saying he's the next Brady, but it isn't a reach to say that he can be a good caretaker. Something that Drew couldn't do. If Losman is able to do a decent job as a caretaker, we're already better at the qb position.

He will have his rookie mistakes that Drew made lst year but i doubt he can do any worse than AJ Feeley last year.

Brady wasn't regarded at all coming out of college. Sixth round compensation pick.

That aside, I think Losman will do fine this year. He'll start out slow and the Bills might lose some of their first few games because they'll have to rely solely on running and defense (see Miami Dolphins the past few years). The kid can really be a weapon if he reaches his potential, quite the athlete too.
