if you flag mcmike's play...look at priest holmes when he scores a td...he looks at a defender wit the ball...and does a weird motion...thats a flag...but seriously guys...the nfl is fixed..the penalties were just disgusting..does neone have tivo lemme know some bad plays i'd like to know

Another claim that the NFL is fixed...these forums at Finheaven would be much better off without your ridiculous claims.

Exactly. We've seen Priest Holmes do the same celebration McMichael did on a weekly basis for the past 5 seasons... yet Randy got called for it on Sunday.

What gives?

This is such bull****.

Get it right: When a player celebrates by taunting an opposing player directly - such as by pointing at him - the refs are going to call it almost every time.

When a player does this, AND IS HOLDING THE BALL IN THE HAND WITH WHICH HE POINTS AT THE OPPOSING PLAYER - the refs are going to call it 100% OF THE TIME.

Yawn....

McMichael pointed the ball at Milloy before he entered the endzone......penalty. Whether he said anything to Milloy, I do not know.

Holmes has the ball on the out-of-bounds side....he does not point the ball at a player

Players like T.O., Chad Johnson, etc celebrate after the play is over

This is so cut and dry......if Moulds had done this to Madison, y'all be crying for a penalty or saying the same things I am.

Let me see if I get this straight.... pointing a ball at a player is a penaltiy but pointing it out of bounce is not.... Got it. That makes sence

What if he points it at a sign?

Or a ref?

or a coach?

or a fan?

or a cheerleader?

or a mascot?

Just asking.... it's ridiculous... it shouldn't have been called. But it wasn't the reason we lost the game (see 5 turnovers, 18 pens.)

What if he points it to nobody? No penalty. No ten threads on 1 of 18 penalties .

the taunting penalty is the absolute dumbest rule in the book...

next to the qb tuck rule...

it might be dumb to you( and really Schmiggs that you are unable to see the conections here is disturbing), but if you were the one being taunted it wouldn't be so dumb... tell me, would retaliation be ok too ? if one is good then how 'bout the other?

That's what I have the problem with.

A player should be allowed to do whatever he wants with the ball in the field of play.

The NFL should only be penalizing for actions after the play is over.
