OT: I'd prefer Taylor lewan, and I believe he will be there, rather have him over Martin or any other FAs
Pass blocking RB: get this need over and done with in free agency. Jones drew or Moreno. Maybe others available, any you like?
OG: draft, second if a good one falls, or the third.
Red zone threat: Tight end, Ebron if we trade up a few slots, if not, go for a big TE in the later rounds
Run defending pass protecting LB: draft
CB: bring competition through the draft, just a 5th or later, unless hickey and philbin have faith in finnegan, davis, Wilson, and Taylor to man the 2,3,4,5 spots

WHATS NOT A NEED:
WR, were set, just get another TE to complement clay and others and our pass game is deadly.
S: jones and Delmas are a good tandem, with Wilson as backup along with other young S we have
DL: Jordan, wake, Vernon, Mitchell, Starks, odrick, and Shelby is a strong DL pass rush wise along with run
defending
C, LT,L or R Guard: pouncey, Albert, smith starting. Brenner, garner, and Thomas as competition.
QB: Tannehillllll!!!

Thoughts? Contradictions?

i would rather have martin for the fact that if he doesnt work out as RT he is defenitly a starter a guard. its a win win in my eyes. I would also like to add a TE who is a seam threat like an ebron or Austin Seferian-Jenkins. i would be happy with Martin in the 1st, Seferian jenikins in 2nd and jeremy hill in 3rd. i would be very happy, but would never happen

I like what you're thinking, but if we get jones drew or Moreno in free agency, we won't need a RB. Lamar is still young and explosive and will only get better. We also have gillsee, and Thomas if we don't cut him, which I want to see happen. As far as Lewan, he is the fastest, quickest, and most athletic olineman in the draft, check the combine results out.

After o-line I think LB is the biggest need. Then safety or RB....so I guess I don't really agree with your assessment but it's all good :hi5:

It wasn't in order. Why would we need a safety? We have jones, Delmas, Wilson, kovacs, and even another jones. Wait and see how Delmas and even jones perform, they're both young, and if Delmas or jones aren't reliable, get a free safety high in the draft next year. As far as LB, it is a need, but they're is no one in free agency that would be helpful, and we need to draft elsewhere in the first three rounds. We have wheeler, sadly, ellerbe, who I like, misi who is reliable, jenkins in pass pro, and even Jordan to help. I say LB in round 4, maybe 5. We need a RT, G, and TE first, maybe even a RB also if we do not sign one. Maybe some good LBs will get cut, they're is time. Maybe even some good RBs. We can dream.

Like safety, I say go LB high in the draft next year, also.

Hopefully our LB core will progress. They have potential if they can fricken practice they're run defense. I want misi as mlb, badly. Maybe he isn't talented enough in the coaches eyes.

The only positions that the Dolphins should feel set at, is all four positions along the defensive line. I could make a case for using a high draft pick on every other position on the team. I would even be for drafting a QB as high as the third round if the right guy is there and the Dolphins feel that he could develop into a starting QB. That is not an indictment of Tannehill, it is just a reflection of how important the QB position is and that I would rather have a QB with some upside on the roster than an over paid Matt Moore. I like Matt Moore, but he is more suited to be the backup on a team that is a super bowl contender with a star starting QB.

I'd rather have Martin than Lewan at this point, since we have Brandon Albert. Lewan has some character and off the field flags, whereas Martin seems to be a straight arrow. Also, as sinPHIN said, Martin is more likely to be able to thrive at Guard, if he didn't work out at RT.

I'll be very surprised if the Fins pick Lewan. Considering the problems Miami had last season, Lewan's character issues have to be a huge concern.

Records: Former U-M football star Taylor Lewan to be charged in December fight

Lewan is scheduled for arraignment at 9 a.m. April 8. He is to be charged with one count of aggravated assault and two counts of assault or assault and battery.

Michigan's Taylor Lewan denies intimidating woman in Brendan Gibbons sexual assault case
Lewan’s name is linked to the police investigation because a friend of the victim’s told Ann Arbor police that he made threats toward the victim in December 2009, according to the police report. Lewan told the friend if the victim did press charges against Gibbons “then I’m going to rape her because he didn’t,” according to the report.

Oline!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep this in mind, and it's been statistically proven. Beyond round 2, you're looking at players who become NFL starters less than 1/3 of the time. By round 4 you're looking at 20%.
Much is made of the low-round pick who makes good but it's a great statistical anomaly.

So my point is to remember that after the third round, the draft is pretty much done outside of a hope and a prayer. That was the great shame in how Ireland kept blowing those 2nd and 3rd round picks year after year. It's the blueprint for destroying a franchise.

Rishard Matthews is a nice complimentary piece for us, but when Hartline got hurt in week 17, Matthews couldn't make a play to save our lives.

I'm worried that Miami has failed to take good enough advantage of FA o-linemen supply, cuz we really only get 3 draft chances for players who can help the 2014 squad, and even that's a reach. Our lb position needs help badly too.
We're gonna have to overpay for somebody here soon to have any real chance of beating 8-8 this season. We badly need more than what we currently have.

Our biggest needs in this order (imo of course):

RT
RB1
RB2
MLB
FS
CB2
OG
OLB
QB2

There are questions on character regarding AS-J & Hill and believe the phins will pass.

Sankey in the 2nd & Gilmore (Colo St) in the 5th are better options IMO
