Love this part:

When you watch tape, Suh collapses the pocket and make it easier for others to get sacks. He had 8 1/2 sacks last season, but he always seemed to be in the backfield and was credited with a ton of pressures.

There were times where it seemed he couldn't be blocked. Even when teams did a solid job on him -- like Green Bay in the final week -- the tape told the story that it wasn't nearly as good as you thought. Suh made his share of plays that normal defensive players couldn't make in that game.

Yes, Suh has had some issues with penalties and fines and personal fouls. And he can be difficult at times, but the value is there when you watch his tape. There are few game-changers in the NFL on defense.

Miami landed one with Suh, which is why this isn't Albert Haynesworth all over again. When the Redskins loaded up to pay Haynesworth, he had dog in his game. That played out. The same can't be said for Suh.

He plays hard. Watch him run down plays from behind when his team is trailing and tell me there is dog in his game.

One more thing: He's nasty. Every defense needs nasty. Miami needed it in a big way, which is why Suh makes sense -- no matter the price.

Bingo...barring health this dudes gonna wreck people the length of that contract

Agreed. The Fins defense played and tackled 5 yards from the LOS. The group of LB were never clean enough to get to the ball carriers. The loss of our big NT to Atlanta was apparent.
Suh will give this team a more physical and penetrating attack from the LOS, and the double teams will allow everyone else to play better.
Still crossing my fingers until the ink has dried.
This certainly will be the best signing in years for the Fins.
The offseason just got me excited about the upcoming season...

Question for me is do we need to upgrade from Mitchell

Not sure of the contract implications, but I would rather have ODrick over Mitchell. He would be nasty lined up next to Suh, Wake, and Vernon.
Hopefully, Odrick takes what the Fins are offering and stays.

While I'm excited about how this will improve our run D, I'm even more thrilled with what Suh can do for our pass rush. Put him right next to Wake and try to block both of those guys.

This is beautiful!

People are going to look back and say "How the hell did Miami get him!??!"

Or better yet.. "Why the hell did Detroit let him go!?"

"When you watch tape, Suh collapses the pocket and make it easier for others to get sacks." This is going to make Vernon some big coin, and Wake will wreck havoc. How many times have our DE's almost been there???? As for the DT lining up next to Suh, Mitchell is a solid option at his price tag. He's a solid plugger. Maybe not on Soliai's level, but not at Soliai's price tag either. I see no reason we shouldn't keep him. His contract is friendly long term.

"dog in his game" i've never heard that expression

For him to say this.... Wow. Love this.

I think Suh's play may fuel or defense in a way that Moreno fired up our O before his injury. That is what I am expecting him to do aside from his talent on the field. Everyone playing frenzied ala Seattle...elevate others play from his fierce fire.
