Just looking up at the final Pro Bowl lists and I noticed two of the players I wanted so bad during the off season. One is none other than our much coveted all pro OT Branden Albert, the other being John Abraham. Imagine if JI had pulled that trade off. Could've meant better pass blocking and a much better running game. That is two or more games we could have won. I said that because I only saw one KC game this season and I watched Albert pulled several times creating running lanes in a way reminiscing of Jake Long's early days. Oh well! You can't sign them all I guess.

I'm look Earl Thomas, Demaryius Thomas, Graham, and Dez Bryan. #fireland

albert wasn't on trade market. he was franchised was he not? He was not allowed for us to get a physical, and KC I believe would not take a second round pick for him. that supposed deal was media driven. but this year might be doable should they not franchise him again. prob depends on Fisher's development.

and I would rather look to a dynamic future with Jordan as a player who offers more in diverse roles than a guy who will be out of the league in a couple years.

mmmmm hindsight.

But while Albert would've been good, no point in bringing up Abraham. Wake/Vernon/Jordan is a fine pass rushing combo

I think we were playing games with the Chiefs. Albert could have been had imo and he would have made a big difference this year. There was faith in Jonathan Martin and it was misplaced. Do better next off season.

Nice one but not with Jeff.

Why do we need another pro bowl thread? There is one on the first page already with Albert already being discussed in it.

Albert was playing for a contract this year, who knows if he'll play as good next year.:idk:

I didn't want them to trade for Albert. Short term, yes it would be fine, but I think long term, he is short lived for the league. The OL was horrendous this year, but I'd rather see someone else in there.

good point but don't they all ???

Yes, but some you can trust to play just as good next year as they did in their contract year some you can't. Someone like Zach Thomas for instance, you knew he would play just as good the next year. Albert Haynesworth, not so much. I don't know about Albert one way or the other.

Actually, with the possible exception of Thomas, these are all players people were clamoring for before their respective drafts.

A lot of people wanted Thomas too, I didn't think he would be very good and wanted Benn or Golden Tate, I remember thinking there is no way can a guy be a bust with the name "Golden".
