The last few weeks I've been having a problem that arises only while on Finheavens site.

I get redirected to this link completely out of the blue.

http://www.google.com/hws/gateway/a...6YBASlqeQ44r4i0xX.ClsigC3ETuwKlwAAAAA&rdr=afe

Once I've been redirected to that site it just keeps happening over and over every 5 seconds until I log off.

Sometimes my computer has shut off completely with no warning while on the site during this same time span.

WTF?

Anyone have insight into what this may be.
Some type of spyware problem that only gets to me while on Finheaven?
Is that possible?

Sounds like adware. You should get a scanner and check.

And just an fyi You shouldn't post the link that might be giving out whatever it is you have too I'm thinking.

try this: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad_aware_free.php
http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search-Destroy/3000-8022_4-10122137.html?tag=lst-1
http://www.download.com/AVG-Anti-Spyware/3000-8022_4-10326286.html?tag=lst-1
http://www.download.com/Spyware-Terminator/3000-8022_4-10468541.html?tag=lst-1

All of these I use accept the last one I'm not sure about the version but they should all be free to use. Another note if it finds something and says it can't remove it restart in safe mode and scan again. Should be able to remove it then.

EDIT: One other thing I think its the spyware terminator wil also try to block legitimate programs sometimes. So make sure you read through the list of what it finds.

I'm not exactly sure what would be causing it, that might be something that an admin would be able to answer. But like lucky said, Ad-Aware, Spybot and AVG are good programs to use to detect and remove any spyware that you may have on your computer. I run scans on a daily basis and always make sure that I update my Windows to keep myself protected.

I didn't know that about Safe Mode. How do you start in safe mode for us computer idiots?

When your computer is starting up hold down F8 and it should come up or at least give you the option to choose which mode such as safe mode, safe mode with networking etc. I usually just do regular safe mode, so I make sure I update my scanners before I enter safe mode because in safe mode you won't be able to access the internet.
Just an explanation in safe mode the bare minimum needed to run windows is booted up and since sometimes adware, viruses etc insert themselves into the startup or as a startup program by using safe mode they will not be booted and you will be able to remove them.

Heres an article on how to enter safe mode and the different types of safe mode:

Thanks for the info guys.

Hopefully I can figure this out and get it corrected.
