I dont want to point fingers or start anything but I see 2 BIG faults for our seasons failure.

1) Sabans fault for leaving Tillman in the starting spot after costing us 3 games and TD after TD after TD. His BS excuse of "Im not sure if bell can play a full game due to previous injuries and fatigue" and bells response was "tahts a pile of BS, let me go out there and do waht i can do and take it from there"...i didnt make up those quotes, it was along those lines in the article when tillman got benched. Im tired of saban BABYING our plyares ala R Brown adn "he never carried af ull load i dono if he can play a full season and carry the load" so why pay him 22 in guaranteed and the number 2 pick if u dont think so? so that means we shouldnt draft a QB b/c he plays 11 games and doesnt manage the same time of situations as it happens in the NFL. plz stop with ur DAD crap and let them DOGS LOOSE!

Sabans decision to leave tillman in there cost us 3 games. Houston, Pitts, and GB. if im not mistakening there was 1 more. t hose were in the hands of tillman along wtih the 2nd problem...see below...

2) Olindo Mare's performance this year. just dreadful. he has cost us 3 games in all BUT if the SS position had been addressed before 6 loses, those misses wouldnt' have hurt us as bad.

3) i just added a number 3 and that is MULARKY. hate the man. horrible calls. we all hated Linehan last yaer remember? untill he ADJUSTED LIKE A GOOD OFF CORDINATOR and got this team on track via offense and his reputation continued as an explosive offense ala Minny. Mularky's reputation of pounding the ball clearly hasn't continued NOR has he shown signs of improvement from our offense last year or "HIS" teams from the bills.

Thats our seasons mistakes. You know what the sad part is? those are STUPID MISTAKES and all those were on the hands of 2 players and 1 coach. you fix those mistakes with teh roster we have now and MORE ADDED DEPTH next year and star players and you got yourself a playoff team. If we did what we are doing now with this lousy Line and offense and a very good/aging defense, imagine another year of added depth/players. Oo my, time will tell.

I'll point all of my fingers and toes at Mularkey. He is the reason we lost at least two of our games this year. Absoloutly horrific playcalling especially on the goal line. It's not even up for debate anymore. He must go.

1) You can't blame saban for playing the veteran too long. Last year, Tillman was our best safety. I know that sounds ridiculous to think about now but it was true. he was. Now he was terrible this year, but i don't fault Saban for having faith in the guy. Tillman just let us down, not saban.

2)Olindo sucks. I don't hate the guy, but yeah, he cost us 30 points this year. theres no way to explain that.

3) Mularkeys offense seemed to have run a lot smoother once Joey took over. I can't just chalk that up to coincidence.

How about just letting Harrington play from the start instead of Culpepper? That wouldve won us at least a couple of games at the start of the season

I think the play calling has been better of late. I wouldn't exactly call us explosive last year.

Mare does suck this year.

I wish Bell had started earlier, but I don't know what your talking about w/ Ronnie. He has been the guy. It isn't Saban saying, hey run 3 times in the 2nd half because I am not sure if Ronnie can handle it. That goes back to the coordinate critique. If Ronnie didn'nthave a feak finger in the helmet, he would'nt have missed a beat, even with a minor and annoying groin pull.

Not with the line resembling swiss cheese for the first half of the season.

It's amazing how so many people think the primary problem was at the QB position.

i dont care if you surround your team with great weapons, if your OLINE suck. they cant pass protect long enough for Joey to go deep ( to chambers) and cant create any running lanes for ronnie. Look at Arizona same situation great weapons no Oline.

No Daunte bad? That should be the granddaddy of them all. And Mare being here isnt a mistake. Leaving him here would be. I dont have a problem with Mularky anymore so long as he keeps doing what he has called (for the most part) lately. In fact, he has been calling plays over the middle to Booker and Morris quite nicely. I have been waiting for those plays.

So I guess what I am saying is that I do not disagree that Saban has screwed up this year, But you really picked the wrong things. I do agree on the Bell not playing early, but most of what Saban has proven will make us a top team next year. The changes should be much fewer and the younger guys will see much more PT on defense.

Bingo. But Saban was just trying to please all the fans IMO by doing that. The Oline was a big factor in the final decision IMO on DC cus all around, we sucked. Nobody was on the same page from Mularky on down.

So when Harrington came in with his quick release, the sacks "magically" diminished? ........................Its no coincidence that the oline looked better after the qb switch.

harringtons quick release. He didn't have a quick release against the jags now did he.

I think what you meant to say was when we swapped LT and RG, the sacks diminished.

But than again maybe you just like joey and have to grab at straws to shine light on him like a lot of folk on here do.

Another we just want joey to manage the game, he doesn't have to be great thread in

a healthy harrington is better than what DC was this year. no question about it and theres no way anyone can disprove. when DC is healthy next year it remains to be seen who will be better but i am curious to find out. im really hoping DC is better because joey is good but not good enough. i just wish we would've signed the MVP of the NFC instead of DC...
