For the record...
"Word out of Miami is that Michigan QB Chad Henne is emerging as the favorite to be the Dolphins’ first of two second-round selections. Henne has already had multiple meetings with team representatives, and more are scheduled. Boston College QB Matt Ryan remains in the mix for the No. 1 overall slot, but he’s losing momentum in favor of Michigan OT Jake Long and Virginia DE-OLB Chris Long."

I think I could live with this. Henne may not be around with the 2nd of our two picks and Flacco and Brohn could also be gone, so I think I taking him at #32 would be alright.

32 imo is way to high for anyone but Brohm. Would not be at all happy with that pick. IF we want a QB that badly and feel like reaching anyway, we might as well take the best one out there in Ryan.

There will be far better value at the 32 than Henne or Flacco. Taking a guy like Booty in the 3-4 range or Flynn in the 4-5 range would be a much greater value.

Ryan, Brohm or Flacco are fine options but I just think Henne will get killed in the NFL with his poor pocket presence. If we dont go after the three I mentioned I would rather just skip QB altogether and pickup a free agent rookie like Bernard Morris or Anthony Morelli

There are a lot of teams who need a QB:.......Atlanta, Carolina, Baltimore, the Jets, Chicago. I think Ryan, Brohm and maybe Flacco could all be first round picks. So if these guys are all gone I think Henne might be the only guy left worth taking...if we pass on him with the #32 then he will likely be gone by our 2B pick...then you just have Woodson, Josh Johnson, Booty and Ainge...none of them is better than a backup QB. I don't think we can just go with Beck and McCown. I guess it depends who is left on the board when we pick at # 32.

Are we to believe that all these Qbs are gone so soon when all this talent at OT is available... I still think that other than Ryan the Qbs last till 2nd and even the third rd...

You think there will only be ONE quarterback taken in the first? I can't see that happening.

Ugh, I hope this doesn't happen. I'd be ok with Henne late in round two, but using our early second on him would be a reach. Let Beck show what he can do before kicking him out the door. A mid-first round talent should be available when we pick, and it sure isn't gonna be Henne.

Please don't ever mention this individual stepping foot in Florida, let alone Miami....Not even as a free agent:lol:

Being a big time Michigan State fan, I've watched Henne his all four years at Michigan. And let me tell ya, when he was a freshman, I thought this guy was the real deal, and he might still be. He is one of the toughest QB's coming out of the draft this year. He plays in the Big-Ten, a very physical confrence, and started 4-years, which also means he is the most expierienced QB in the draft. He's played OSU four years, and in four big time bowl games. Including Michigan's impressive win over Florida when they showed of Lloyd Carr's version of a spread offense.

I think Henne is the most NFL ready QB in this draft. It's close between him and Ryan but I'd give the nod to Henne becuase he's played all 4 years and in numerous big-time games. I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Miami uni. (and this is coming from one of the biggest Michigan haters in Michigan, so I think very highly of him)

Im not worried... He will be there for our #2 second rounder.. We need James Hardy or Kenny Phillips with that #32!!!

Bring on Jake Long #1 I LOVE CHRIS LONG but he didnt bench which makes me wonder....:err:

I don't understand the Parcells / Ireland logic here at all. One week they're hyping up Ryan, the next it's Flacco, and now all of a sudden it's Henne. They're going the wrong direction on the draft chart in regards to the QB position...

Let's face it, we wanted Cameron's head on a lance for passing on Quinn a year ago, and if we end up passing on a QB like Ryan for a project like Henne, I'm not sure Parcells / Ireland will even last an entire season in Miami. The local fans simply wont stand for another drop of the ball at QB in my opinion...

PHINZ RULE!!!

i've never been a big henne fan. i'd hate it if that happened
