Looking forward to the 2007-2008 season. What do you think are the most promesing aspects about the Miami Dolphins, going forward to the new season. Which are the things that worry you the most?

Promising would be the offensive options for the QB's but questions and concerns would be the durability and age of the defensive line and teams taking advantage of our shaky offensive line.

i think promising is the fact that this can be one of the best defenses in the league.....a shutdown defense.....another promising thing is weapons on offense and special teams.......not promising at the moment is our starting qb and how well this offensive line can be from game #1...seems like every yr it takes them 4-5 games to get acclimated

I find very promesing that we kept Capers, that our defense rocks and that we have added talented players to it. I am hopeful about our offense, but it is troubling to know we do not have a starting QB. I like Beck, but I do not think he is ready to start. I am weary about OL. I am also about worried about our secondary, especially since other teams have upgraded at the WR position, namely, the pats.

I am encouraged by the influx of explosive offensive talent via the draft, but concerned about Vernon Carey moving to left tackle where he has previously struggled. I have a bad feeling that moving Vernon out of the right tackle spot will result in an overall downgrade in line play. I really hope I am wrong.

I think this one is easy...The most promising aspect going into the season is our defense, we are younger and better than last years, and last years was pretty good.
Obviously the biggest concerns would be at QB and the OL...The main reason is because we don't yet know what to expect and there are more questions at those positions than answers. We don't know who our starting QB is going to be, and we can't even narrow it down to two guys at this point. Is Culpepper going to be healthy? Will he even be on the team? Will we get a deal done for Green? Or will we get him as a FA? If neither, than do we go with Cleo or the Rookie Beck?
The same thing on the offensive line, how will Carey do at LT? He didn't do so well their as a rookie but will he be much better now? Will Shelton be able to replace Carey on the right side? Is Hadnott going to be at G or C? If we move him back to G how well will the rookie do at C? And then of course who will end up being at the other G spot? A lot of questions, very few answers. We just have to hope that in the end it all works out. Good luck on that one!

Well said......I agree.

What is really scaring me about this upcoming season is a couple things. Obviously the QB situation doesn't look good for the fins right now. Even if we do bring in Green he is old and who knows what another shot to the head is going to do to him. Then if he goes down I fear that they will decide to put Lemon in instead of Beck. I know that Beck is a rookie, but I think well all would like to see what he's got and we might as well give him a shot if were not in contention of playoffs.

The second thing that worries me about this offense is the TE position. I think this gets overlooked quite a bit. I cant say that I know a whole lot about Martin and I think that is what is scary about it. He's been in the leage for a few years and been pretty invisible.

I think the O-Line is going to show much improvement. We did have quite a few injuries last year on the O-Line and that may have been the cause of our early struggle. I think getting the new guy from Hawaii to play center is going to help, I think Vernon is ready for the LT position, were going to be ok on the O-Line.

We added Ginn who is going to be a playmaker one way or another for the Fins. If he can heal completely and brings that burning speed to the field there arn't many players that can keep up with him on a long streak. As long as the QB has time to let him get down field he's going to be a game breaker.

I dont look for us to be great this year, but I do think we have the potential to have a suprise season for everybody. We could suprise some teams, and even suprise some of us.

I would say that we have a chance to be an explosive offense once everyone gells together. Our WRs could be really explosive, here is how it looks right now.

Chris Chambers
Marty Booker
Derek Hagan
Ted Ginn Jr.
Az-Hakim
Kelly Cambell

What i don't see as promising is our DBs. Will Allen and Andre Goodman are ok but nowhere near shutdown.

Shut down Corners are great to have but the are a luxury in the league now IMO. If you have a good pass rush, can stop the run with your front seven and have safetys who can make plays, you don't need shutdown corners really, you just need good players who can make a play when given the oportunity.

That might be how you spell promising up there in Canada, eh, but here it's promising...(Just kidding it happens to the best of us)

With our actual crew of D-liners and LB, our opponents will have hard time throwing.

You mean Jason Allen and Will Allen ;)

I am really surprised at how disappointing Allen has been so far. I saw him play in college 4 or 5 times and I thought he would be an outstanding pro.

All reports indicate that your faith will be restored with his move to cornerback this year. Thus far he's been impressing people all over the place.
