Promoting Gaine makes the most sense!

Promote the guy familiar with Aponte and Philbin. If we miss the playoffs again, clean the entire house. Easier to fire Gaine with the rest since he's always been a part of this regime.

You hire a new GM, your gonna have to once again do the fire the coach not the GM, fire the GM not the coach circus routine.

With Gaine you draw a clean line.

And if we unfortunately fail next season, with a clean house, you'll attract the truly desirable GM candidates.

If I was Gaine, I would call up…ask for the job and if I did not get it, I would resign. He would get a job so fast in the league esp. coming from Miami.

Well it's looking like it's what we're stuck with. No GM wants to come into this power structure. Farmer gone. Cessario gone. Gaine already works for us, already scouts. He's well respected. And maybe he fixes the things he knows Ireland did wrong. Who here doesn't tell themselves they would do it so much more different and better than their current bosses no matter where you work?

And if he fails, we clean house after next season and attract top of the line GMs.3

Let's not get dramatic. Maybe Gaine works out. Drafts well. Does everything opposite of what he knows Ireland liked.

Maybe Philbin trajectory is akin to Pete Carroll. Successful once his third season hits.

And I'm truly confident in Lazor and Tannehill making some real strides together.

Gaine is unfairly judged just because he worked under Ireland. He isn't Jeff Ireland. For all we know he despised Ireland.

Gaine is well respected. He's not bottom of the barrel.
