look at Y. Bells "attempt" to play the ball.

this is why we can't play the ball in the air. he did the SAMEEE thing agsint AZ Cards in week 2 on that 4 yard TD pass in the middle of the endzone. our secondary as a WHOLE isnt able to do jack ****. I mean bells hands are right there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this whole secondary needs a makeover.
 
They needed a make over 3 years ago, this is why i blasted Parcells/Ireland when Arizona destroyed us a few weeks back. This isn't some new problem that just popped up week two, the Dolphins had plenty of draft picks and cap room to address the secondary and they failed to do so. Mistakes like this are why i'm not so quick to worship the ground Parcells walks on.

I don't care in the next offseason we better have at least 2-3 new DB's added onto the roster or it's gonna be hell to pay.

GOODMAN, LEHAN YOU CAN COUNTDOWN YOUR LAST DAYS IN A DOLPHINS UNI OFFICIALLY STARTING ON 10/12/08.

Tell the wife and kids WE GOTTA PACK UP AND GO ASAP.
 
Somebody needs a valium. You can't rebuild a team in just one draft. At least we are competing.

If i recall saban was quick to mention this issue. how they can't PLAY the ball. this right here is proof of how we can't.

look bro, goodman is our starter, he was the 4th DB on a LIONS TEAM!
hill is our starting FS and he was the 4th DB on the RAIDERS team!!!
Lehan is lehan, no comment.
Allen is a number 2 playing as a number 1.
bell is a solid DB playing at 30.
everyone is out of position.

Hill is a good BACK UP 'S'
Bell is good but needs a better supporting cast but hes getting old as well.
Goodman is a 5th DB playing as a 2.
Allen needs to go to nuber 2.
Lehan is a number 4 playing as 2/3.
etc etc.

just how porter was out of posotion last year as was holliday and the rest and now we put them in their RIGHT spots and we see how good they are performing.
 
The DB on our roster with the best ball skills and the best hands is Jason Allen...... he just never plays, lol

Will Allen has hands of stone and he had an interception right in his hands in the end zone and he drops it. Renaldo Hill had an interception and he dropped it. Either of those plays are made and we could easily have won the fricken game. Don't even get me started on Andre Goodman. Sure he had an interception but then spent the rest of the day getting torched over and over as he usually does. He's our 2008 version of Jamar Fletcher or Reggie Howard.

I do. What we are doing with him is very similar to what the Raiders did with Nnamdi Asomugha. The Raiders fans were doing the same thing a lot of Dolphins fans are now, calling him a bust or whatnot. I think he also had a similar "coaching carousel" going on, but I could be wrong on that. Jason Allen's biggest problem has been having a new coach come in each year and saying "I like him better over here". You can tell that he is even extremely frustrated with it. That's why I think it will be good for him to have Sparano here for more than one season so he can sit at one position for more than five seconds. I'm telling you right now that if we cut him he will go to the Patriots and be a pro-bowler.
 
We should put Allen at one damn position and leave him there. Sink or swim. Stop moving him from Cornerback to Safety then to Cornerback again and Safety again and now back to Cornerback again

Yes, but CB is arguably the most difficult position to get down, along with QB and WR. If he is only allowed to spend a little bit of time at one before getting moved again he won't develop. Again, I have to point to the Asomugha example.
 
I could understand if these were college d-backs making some coverage mistakes, but it seems like it is all or nothing with our d-backs. There is no way that ball should have been completed to Andre Johnson on 4th and 10. Everyone knows that Johnson is their main receiver, yet he got open over and over, along with their tight end. How hard can it be to slap a football down?

Then our hands of stone d-backs have the easiest INT's ever and they drop them? The good teams and playoff teams find ways to make these stops and win. Miami, just isn't there yet. Our d-backs are very average, and the Tuna did not do much to make upgrades in this area this past year. Hopfully this will be a top priority next year.

I see us having a good team....maybe an 8-8 or 9-7 team, but we have to improve on both sides of the ball. Hopefully the team can put this one behind them and get ready for Balto. :rolleyes2:
 
Come on.. ok that was a poor decision instead of just trying to bat it down, it did appear he went for the catch. But Bell is a better than average safety. This secondary needs a makeover but Bell isn't the one who needs to be replaced. We need a FS and a #1 CB. Will Allen would be better at the 2. Other starters in the secondary can and should be replaced. Just needs to get coached up really.

For next season.
CB1: draft pick
CB2: W.Allen
SS: Y.Bell
FS: ?? draft pick/FA
