Props to KB21 for saying in a pre-draft thread Crowder was the best LB in the draft

A little Early!

I think it's very premature to call any of these players as pro-bowlers already when they havn't even played a real snap in the NFL> Ware,Crowder, and Johnson had good pre-seasons but let them earn their stripes before we label them as steals and pro-bowlers! Plus I am supersticious so please do NOT JINX Channing Crowder!!! Thank you!

It's called Knee Surgery. It's also called Off-the-field issues.

Pac-Man Jones looked like a great selection too. So did Sean Taylor.

Teams didn't pass him up because of his ability.

Pac Man looked like a great selection only to those that were impressed by his speed. Not to me. I had Antrell Rolle, Carlos Rogers, and Cory Webster rated ahead of Pac Man.

Also, the difference between Derrick Johnson and Channing Crowder is instincts. Crowder has them, Johnson doesn't. Johnson is the type that wants to run around blocks and freelance on the field. He's very easily blocked, even by the fullback on the lead isolation play. I've actually seen Johnson's knees buckle at the sight of a fullback coming towards him. There is no doubt that he is a great athlete, but so were guys like Hannibal Navies, Na'ill Diggs, Jashon Sykes, and Trevor Smith.

Channing Crowder is a guy who keys and diagnoses plays well. He takes on blockers and isn't afraid to mix it up in the muck. I think he was also the best in college at reading the run and reacting to the pass.

Seriously, have any of you heard of Demarcus Ware, or David Pollack, or Odell Thurman... Remember all the draft DJ threads... b4 any meaningful games have been played, this thread is idiotic... we all know Crowder has talent, its evident by his development so far.... But he is one shot away to the knee or one run-in with the law from some1 else making a "thats why Crowder fell to us thread"....
