I'm sure most of you have read the Don Shula article about how displeased he is with Porter's ranting (here is the thread/article for those who haven't: http://www.finheaven.com/forums/f2/don-shula-is-astounded-by-joey-porters-demands-269395.html). That got me thinking. Looking at how Joey Porter is handling this entire process of wanting out truly makes me appreciate how JT handled his business when he asked Parcells for a trade. I know at the time everyone was pretty upset with Taylor, including yours truly, but come to think fo it should we have been? JT went in PRIVATE and had a meeting with BP and told him if the right offer came by to trade him. The media soon jumped all over it and tired to blow it out of proportion and trying to create a rift, but the whole time JT kept denying that he and Parcells do not get along (which seems true in hindsight considering Parcells and Co. brought him back). It was just a man ASKING, not demanding, what he wanted. He went about it the CORRECT way. Props to JT. We should be honored to have a class act and a true professional like him retire a phin. HOPE WE BRING HIM BACK.

he chose to dance on TV instead of working to improve a 1-15 team, he shot himself out of Miami in a different way than Porter but it will still end up the same way that each guy wanted it.

Your a JETs fan...what you write might as well be invisible.

Nothing about what Taylor did was more or less private then Porter. Nothing that Porter is doing is more or less then what Taylor did as well. Remember, Taylor himself was throwing his teammates under the bus as well. Who was it? Wasn't it Beck?

Just shows how immensely immature Porter is

That's the same with Taylor then.

I mean atleast be happy that Porter waited till the off-season to air the dirty laundry. Every teammate has alread come out almost in support of Porter. Plus, all that have spoken ACKNOWLEDGED he never made it a distraction or issue during the regular season.

I also find it funny some claim Taylor was a class act, yet in some ways, he was worse then Porter. Other then saying he is better then such and such a player I haven't seen Porter(unlike Taylor) throw any of his teammates under the bus.

As a matter of fact, after the NE when Smith fell and had that weird TD against him from Akin, Porter was one of the 1st guys over to Smith comforting him and telling him it's ok and to let it go.

After the play where Wilson screwed up and got burned and you saw him reaming out Smith, it was no other then Porter who got in Gerbil's face.

But hey, now that it's the offseason, and not almost the beginning of OTA'S he wants to air the dirty laundry and discuss his displeasure. Yeah, he sure is a chump and has done everything wrong. Give me a break

You showing up on this thread and dumping on one of our icons is as predictable as your buffoon head coach talking out of his azzhole.

Once again, it's a main forum topic that has nothing to do with you but I guess you just need to keep your troll pimp hand strong.

I apologize if you cannot handle the truth.

I am welcome in every forum here unfortunately for you and fortunately for those that enjoy fun, intelligent discussions.

No, you only look to attack J.Taylor and BP when ever you can. Nothing intelligent that you add to any discussion, just usually made up or twisted opinions you call facts!

I have no problem with you on this forum. The only people that wil have issues with you are the blind homers. I may not agree with all you say but there is normally validity to alot of what you say.

I mean look at this thread. I guarantee you I will get bashed, or put on ignore for my response. People will think I am defending Porter and how dare I critiscize an ICON of the Phins in Taylor.

When in reality, Taylor is being called a class act for doing almost the same thing as Porter. As a matter of fact, what Taylor did was worse when he threw teammates under the bus. I also never heard Porter say he was waiting for someone else to make a play.

So, for me, if you are gonna critiscize Porter for this, there is no way you can say Taylor was a class act. That is what I am debating. Not whether Porter is in the right or not.

That's just not true, I speak the truth. I don't attack. I never said taylor sucked, I said he is not a HOfer. I have said BP is a HOF Coach and a mediocre front office man- the facts back me up.

You have a very good offseason plan. I disagree with some of your draft picks and cutting Williams. But overall, good offseason

Well that's a matter of opinion. And the "truth" as you see it, is, as many of us see it, green-colored thru your own homer glasses.

As far as open-mindedness, I know a few years ago I was kicked off one of your boards for stating the truth about Joe Namath, just like you profess to be doing about JT. Let's see if you agree:

Does a QB who stepped up in 1 game to beat a team that fell back into the pack the next year and essentially stepped in **** by making one of thousands of empty "guarantees" come true really qualify for the HOF when essentially his career QB rating is 65, he's got a 50% completion rate, 47 more interceptions than TD throws... and in total he won 1 more game than he lost, especially considering that it was in an era when QBs were responsible for reading Ds and calling their own plays??? Is that really a HOF caliber QB or as much of a farce as inducting Trent Dilfer?

Incidentally I'm sensitive to this question and your ability to crap all over our players, mostly because years ago I was kicked off one of your forums for even suggesting it.

Bonus Question:
Do you agree that P Manning proved with little doubt (just like he did against us in the 4th qtr), that if he played the second half in a game 15 that actually mattered somewhat, The Jest would NOT have backed into the playoffs? What they did or didn't do once in the POs in not part of this question. What is, is whether they in reality were at best an 8-8 team who under normal circumstances wouldn't have earned a playoff spot???

2nd Question:
By stiffing alternate realities as a non homer fans sees it, (just as you yourself claim to be doing), do JI and TGG just confirm that they're populated by delusional homers and prefer the mutual masturbation... or does FH's more tolerant policy confirm that it's a far better and more objectively populated board???

Let's see how much of "the truth" you're offering up now. Or are you again ready in your self-professed role to "educate" us as to what looks to you to be "reality".

I don't know the circumstances of why you got booted, yousay it was b/c of your opinion on Joe but on every Jet board I have posted on I have stated my opinion on Joe being overrated. It wasn't greeted warmly but I have never been booted for it, something tells me you did more than just that to get booted.

As far as namath, I don't think he belongs in the Hall for his on field production BUT I do believe he belongs based on what he meant to the game. Whether you like it or not SB III was one of the biggest games in pro football history(likely the biggest) and his role in that game was an important one.

I don't garee we lose if peyton plays that 1st game. I still say we don't know what happens. Would Indy have likely won? probably but we'll never know for sure.

I think all boards have their share of homers, their share of negative posters and a few folks who can be pretty objective. I can criticize Jets as easy as dolphins, the perception is I just criticize dolphins but that is far from the case.
