I'm sure most of you have read the Don Shula article about how displeased he is with Porter's ranting (here is the thread/article for those who haven't: http://www.finheaven.com/forums/f2/don-shula-is-astounded-by-joey-porters-demands-269395.html). That got me thinking. Looking at how Joey Porter is handling this entire process of wanting out truly makes me appreciate how JT handled his business when he asked Parcells for a trade. I know at the time everyone was pretty upset with Taylor, including yours truly, but come to think fo it should we have been? JT went in PRIVATE and had a meeting with BP and told him if the right offer came by to trade him. The media soon jumped all over it and tired to blow it out of proportion and trying to create a rift, but the whole time JT kept denying that he and Parcells do not get along (which seems true in hindsight considering Parcells and Co. brought him back). It was just a man ASKING, not demanding, what he wanted. He went about it the CORRECT way. Props to JT. We should be honored to have a class act and a true professional like him retire a phin. HOPE WE BRING HIM BACK.
