Keep it simple or explain each element.

Pros:
Coaching - I think the mentality and culture that Parcells/Sparano have instilled will be increasingly beneficial as the Dolphins grow up (they are young, after all). Also, switching Ginn to KR from WR#1 was sort of an unconventional move, but the smart move.

Ricky Williams - It's nice to see him making big plays again.
Ronnie Brown - Has kind of hit a bump in the road lately, but he is the heart of the offense and I can't wait to get some money to buy a Ronnie jersey.

Vontae Davis - A little rocky early on, Davis has stepped up over the past week. His tackling is amazing and I think he would've made more of a difference against Moss if he didn't hurt his quad early in the game.

Randy Starks - Doesn't quit.

Evolution of the Wildcat - I like the new wrinkles a lot, but I agree that it might disrupt Henne's rhythm.

Henne - How can you not like this guy? He's calm and he makes relatively smart decisions the majority of the time. For instance, on a quick screen to Bess against the Pats, he threw the ball at Bess' feet when Adaleaus Thomas was hunting that screen. Henne, if you watch closesly, makes a lot of those smart, conservative decisions. Perhaps that's Pennington's influence.

Pennington - Gotta love the fact that he has taken on a coaching role after being hurt. Hope he stays on to do it next season. His career is pretty much done simply because he's a high risk with his shoulder injury history and little reward since he chokes in the playoffs whenever he gets there.

Cons:

Inconsistency - This is probably the biggest con. Miami will be good at one thing one week and awful at it the next while whatever they were awful at last week suddenly becomes their strength. While it's good to see them make adjustments, they fail to keep the good, good.

Loss of Patrick Cobbs - Say what you will, but he adds an element to the offense and special teams that is certainly missed.

Linebackers - Jason Taylor has been more effective when he's up on the line, like he's used to. Porter seems to be hit or miss, and **** Channing Crowder.

4th quarter play - This is why Miami has lost so many close games.

Henne - How can you not like this guy? He's calm and he makes relatively smart decisions the majority of the time. SO excited for this guy.

Pretty much agree with all you say. I also think coaching is a pro. I see alot of posters upset with Sparano and co. I have to say that I would rather cut down on the wildcat and let Henne find his ryhthm as well. I feel very comfortable with Sparano. Every coach is going to make mistakes. I think he is the main reason we finished 11-5 last year and feel he has done a real nice job keeping this team from falling apart during this rocky season.

I'd really like them to let Henne lead a no-huddle drive where he calls his own plays.

I agree with most of what you say, especially the coaching, and some of the keystone players they've brought into Miami.

However, I do not agree with you opinion on Pennington. While I like what he's doing in coaching terms, I do not think he is done as a QB, his injury wasn't as serious as once thought, and if he weren't on IR, then he could come back later in season, but that woul be dumb for Henne's progression.

As much as I'd love Pennington to stay on the payroll, I'd rather see him resurrect a team like a Rams, and maybe train someone like jake locker/tony pike/bradford..
what if Kurt Warner retires, Pennington would be better than Leinart, throw them both in camp together..
I just wanna see Penningotn keep playing for the right reasons

We can't pass and we can't stop the pass. That's the principal con. Hopefully it's a case of young personnel who will uptick but I've looked at the most vital stats for 25+ years and any team averaging 5.4 YPPA while allowing 8.0 YPPA has major problems. We're 27th on offense and 31st on defense in those categories. Luckily, for this week, only Tampa Bay is worse, barely behind us in both categories:
