As a preface, I think Henne will be our primary starter in 2010.

But, I was thinking of White and his part in the spread offense that we'll look to implement. Obviously, the spread would suit his talents.

But, I was also thinking of the talk surrounding White not fitting the mold of the big strong-armed QB that Parcells champions. Then, I realized that White's not that dissimilar from Tony Romo in terms of makeup. Romo is listed at two inches taller, but I think he's more like 6'1 than 6'2. Romo does weigh more, but I think White will put on some muscle - for the sake of durability, if nothing else (remember how skinny Brady was coming out of Michigan?). Neither has a canon, but both are accurate with adequate arm strength, and both are very mobile - White obviously more mobile.

This isn't to say that White will be a successful, every-down starter like Romo. It's just to say that White does fit the mold of an ex-Parcell's QB and that Parcells isn't above breaking his own patterns if it means winning.

The prototypical parcells QB is one that wins games and gives us the best chance to be sucessful right now we only have one guy and thats

I agree. If out season is as successful as I hope, Pennington will start throughout. I was thinking, though, about how White might fit into our future plans and how his position isn't as limited as I first thought.

Didn't Parcells draft Quincy Carter while in Dallas?

i'd say longshore is more of a prototypical parcells qb
