http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/sports/football/12563964.htm The Dolphins signed punter Donnie Jones and safety Deandre Eiland to the practice squad. They are believed to have safety Jack Hunt on the practice squad. The team is allowed to keep up to eight players on the practice squad.

Tony Bua, whom the Dolphins released last week, was signed to the Buccaneers' practice squad.

So that makes half:
PS
1. Fred Gipson
2. Donnie Jones
3. Deandre Eiland
4. Jack Hunt

thanks for the info, my guess is that there will be a TE, QB, and O-lineman added

But I have to wonder. Is Eiland on the PS as safety, a cornerback, or a hybrid of both. I know Deandre does have speed. If we can develop him....:)

He played mainly as a CB in training camp and preseason even though he has the speed to play both. He needs help in technique and footwork but could be suitable as a 4/5 CB.

If that's so, I'm actually see a light at the end our tunnel in the future CB corps. Will Poole, Travis Daniels, Shirdonya Mitchell, and Deandre Eiland. Now that's sweet.

I wished that we had put Bua on the PS. But the Bucs got him now. :(

How much you wanna bet that if you went over to a Buc board there would be a poster stating that they found thier replacement for John Lync?

I think Eiland will be elevated to the 53 man roster sooner rather than later. I thought he had a good shot at making the squad due to his ability to play both safety and cornerback.

Good to see Fred Gibson added to the practice squad. The SEC representation on this team keeps going up. All four of the guys on the PS are SEC guys Nick is familiar with: Jones and Hunt from LSU, Gibson from Georgia, and Eiland from South Carolina.

Probably so.

it'd be good to see Holmes and Berlin added soon.

Very pleased to see Eiland on there.
