As soon as I heard the comments on PTI....I could see the ESPN hate thread coming.....

But realize one thing first.....it's an argument segement where they have each take one side of the argument....and wilbon used the only argument you can to say that Young is better, the ring. but I don't even think that he believes what he said himself.

EDIT - it was the 'Toss Up' segement where they bring up a question and one takes one side and the ohter goes against.

The Toss up was Young or Marino, who had the better career. Wilbon said Young because he had a ring, and the other guy took Marino and was listing the stats.

The ring argument is the dumbest ever. The ring means you've played on a great team, and really says nothing about the 1 of 53 individuals. How you played says something about the player.

So you really think that Marino is better than Trent Dilfer???? homer!!

They always have to disagree for people to actually watch...but at least Jay Mariotti was valid in his discussion.

They failed to mention Steve's stellar supporting cast though.

if ur saying that to be a better qb u need a ring then howcome alot of qb who won a superbowl never made it to the hall of fame... Kurt Warner won a ring, so they are saying that warner is better than marino cause he won a ring...the ring thing is total bs

Can someone name me 1 player that led and won a superbowl by himself.

Around the Horn was worse, Mariotti called him a one pony show

It was more of a two Pony show. Marino used to kick those sweet Pony shoes.

How convenient.

Why is it that those "little facts" are always left out?
