I read a short clip on Wanny's press conference and he has indicated that if Turk left he could draft a punter or look for one in free agency. JJ drafted a punter a few years back who was eventually traded to da Bears. Any draftniks out there know of any punters that could be drafted in the late rounds? Any Ray Guys or Reggie Roby lurking?

There are three worth drafting....

1) Dave Zastudil - Ohio - Has enormous leg strength. Very good hang time. But needs to work on his quickness in getting the ball off. He can also do kickoffs, scouts say there will be a lot of touchbacks if he does kickoffs for an NFL team. He is the best in his positon for this years draft and they expect him to go in the 4 or 5 round.

2) Craig Jarrett - Michigan State - He is extremely accurate on his punts. He is almost machine-like when striking the ball but needs to work on his leg strength.

3) Travis Dorsch - Purdue - Has very good leg strength. Decent accuracy but needs to work on his quickness in getting rid of the ball. The great thing about him is his versatility. He was a Division 1 All-American KICKER and PUNTER two years ago. Now that could be helpful.

I'll play for the minimum!! Without a signing bonus. Just a guaranteed injury settlement!
