Now. He is lightning quick(4.33 40 and 4.28) and has a knack for getting his hand on the ball and interceptions. He also has a reputation as a sure tackler. He is everything Gibril Wilson IS NOT. Wilson is always late in coverage and is has linebacker-esque awareness for defending a ball in the air.
 
I'm all for it.

It really bothers me when commentators criticize Wilson's ability to play the pass but complement his run stopping skills in the same breathe. The guy has been our worst tackler every single game this year.
 
We need a ball hawking FS who is a sure tackler. Wilson has proven he isn't up to the task so why not give Clemons a shot.
 
IMO G. Wilson is in the wrong spot he needs to be a SS not a FS he has gotten alot better since his first couple of weeks though thought he had a pretty good game against NO the only bad play was with jeremy Shockey

I guess you missed that big 3rd down conversion by Reggie Bush at the end of the 4th qtr. He missed an easy tackle out in the flat that COULD have cost us the game. The guy missed 3-5 tackles every freakin game and he's still starting. He's starting because he's making money, not becaue he's deserving. I'm slowly losing confidence in this coaching staff and front office. Let's continue to play Wilson every week and see the same results :crazy:

You really need to have a little faith in the coaching staff. They certainly were not afraid to let Ernest Wilford sit last year and play a free agent named Bess at WR after watching practices. So Clemons has to show it in practice better than Wilsons. Clemons was taken in the 5th for a reason and it was not his speed. Clemons in college over pursued the tackle for the big hit that is why he was taken so low he actually moved up in the draft just for his speed at the combine.

yea because no one else in the league misses tackles gibril is the only one in the league that misses tackles this year oh wait we also have 3 other people on our team that can't tackle worth a **** and that would be Y. Bell C. Crowder and S. Smith i forgot G. WIlson is the only one on the team that misses tackles my bad

Could he really be that much worse than Wilson? Really? If so, our front office had an awful off-season. At the very least we'd get a guy who has the potential to get better some playing time. Gibril Wilson isn't going to magically get better at his age. There's a reason he hasn't stayed with one team very long.

Uh Bell is always consistently making the tackles.

Our offense cost us the game out play calling cost us the game Gibrils 1 missed tackle didnt cost us the game

Riiight...so since he's not the only one that sucks on our defense he should continue to start :err:...in that case since Ted Ginn isnt the only player who can't catch (fasano) he should be given a pass too right? Give me a freakin break dude. Wilson blows...you know it and I know it.

Ding, ding, ding we have a winner!!!!!!!

Offense screwed us from Ginn's drops, Cam's bone head play (love Cam but really c'mon), Fasano's easy drop, Bess's fumble, horrible play calling in the 2nd half......... all of that have nothing to do with Wilson missing a tackle.
