Q & A with Alex Marvez / another excuse for Jets loss

Yet anothe excuse for the Jets loss

" It depends if you consider Johnson a journalist. My feeling is that Aikman believed the Dolphins, because of what Johnson said, had interest in him. Otherwise, I don't think Aikman would have had any reason to tell his agent (Leigh Steinberg). Johnson did a disservice to his former team by making that call, as it became a significant distraction to the Dolphins entering the Jets game. "

Question really is: did Johnson just talk as a friend to Aikman. You know, like buddies do when they hang around a couple of beers or did he make an official interview?

Marvez is just covering the Sentinels a** because they were buying into this crap heavily.

Alex suprised me by thinking Dyer would help the run game enough to want to play him.

This sucks:
How effective do you think Jay Fiedler will be upon his return? Fiedler has a history of struggling when first coming back from an injury.

Well, hemay have had the history but Lucas had a history in 1999 of winning...not so in 2000 and 2002.

So much for history.

If he comes back he will make an instant impact just by his presence. The possibility of making the throws required will keep the defenses back more...plus it would be an emotional boost for the entire team to have their leader back.

Q&A with Andy Cohen

Q. Hey Andy, from an objective point of view, do you feel that the dolphins have a chance to make noise in the playoffs after such a depressing 3-game losing streak?

From an objective standpoint, yes I do. Fiedler must come back and show no effects from his thumb injury and the line must improve its blocking. If the defense can stay healthy and the Dolphins can somehow get a home game in the playoffs, they have the time of team -- with Ricky Williams at running back -- to do some damage in the playoffs. But there are a lot of "ifs" to overcome.
