With Miami's team already built, perhaps they should find a veteran QB for the next few seasons. The O-line is coming along, the receiving corps is solid along with TE's, and the running back field is enviable. Now all the Dolphins need is someone to pull the trigger before the defense gets too old and needs to be rebuilt. This move has worked for Parcells in NY and in Dallas and I hope Miami takes a long look at the idea.

Brett Farve would be a nice addition! Surely he won't want to suffer any more pain in Green Bay and would like to move a little closer to home. Joe Montana had a good run in KC before he hung it up. Brett is just what the doctor ordered, plus he might be able to cure Miami's Marino hangover.

If not, how about McNair? Could Miami lure Culpepper back to Fla?

These guys make alot of sense because the current team needs to win now yet could draft a young prospect QB and refurbish the defense.

Finally, I believe Miami will win tomorrow and begin a dark-horse run at the conference title. No one sees them coming but that makes it all the sweeter. NE is going to get its a** handed to them on Monday and Miami will not give away its next games against Buffalo and NY. So Miami will just have to step up and rip the title away from floundering NE. It will be a nice start for the Saban era.

I was hoping we could get a better veteran QB the year Wanny took Feeley from the Eagles....but now we need to draft a franchise QB, not a has been
NFL qb. :(

For the long term success of the franchise the team needs to bring in a young guy. I would take McNair or Favre for a season, but I don't think that will happen. Culpepper would not be a stop gap, but the price to get him would be extremely high.

I would like to see patrick ramsey here.
also draft a LT in the first round, cb-qb in the 2nd thrid

Wow...that's way out there Web...Favre...not leaving GB unless to retire. McNair....can't get out of bed in the mornings, much less get on a plane and fly to Miami...too old, too banged up...nice guy, good qb, no more body...Culpepper...not going anywhere since Meathead will be canned and the new regime (whoever that is) will be put in charge of 'resurrecting' his career...

Try again...or better yet, lets just wait and see how things transpire and who actually comes available. I do agree with you that we need to pick up a FA QB, instead of hanging our hopes on a drafted guy (unless it is a drafted guy to groom for a few years)....Saban doesn't like flashy...I foresee him going after a second tier QB (Kitna, Warner - although I can't stand Warner myself) and then drafting someone to groom...rather than plucking a Rivers/Brees or Schaub or Gerrard....but stranger things have happened.

I would like Culpepper. Although Moss made his career, he is a pretty good QB.

FORGET CULPEPPER!! He tore all three ligaments in his knee. The soonest he'd be ready to play is next november. i would take my chances with FAVRE but only at the right price. A QB must be drafted either way.

Brees.....get Brees...or Carr....and draft a prospect...Like Omar Jacobs...or Gradkowski.....continue to groom Lemon.....let Gus go....and throw Sage in the mix.

I still have this feeling as soon as Rivers gets on a field he is gonna be amazing and i also wounder if theres any chance to trade up and get Matt

The more posts I read like these, the more I think Wannstedt and Spielman are secretly posting on this site
