Last chance for Dolphins' Pennington?

Word is that tonight's game between the Miami Dolphins and the Indianapolis Colts could be the last chance for Chad Pennington(notes) to prove himself to the folks in Miami.
Football fans in Florida are tiring of Pennington, according to the National Football Post. After all, the guy has six turnovers in his last two games, including five interceptions, and just two touchdown passes. Plus, he was sacked seven times.
Rumor has it that if he can't start delivering some big plays under pressure this evening, the team will turn to Chad Henne(notes).

I think they should have made the switch to start the year and give henne a shot to see if he's got something or not.
 
Well that is alot of conjecture in that quote but good job putting something to back up your statement that so rare on this forum......we started 0-2 last year i think Penny gets this team until GOD FORBID injury or till we are out of playoff contention so we can see what we have in Henne come offseason.

well, he stunk it up in the playoffs, too. you honestly think pennington is the answer to go to a super bowl? let's get serious. what is the f'ing point of sitting Henne? he's got it or not, lets find out and move on. keep drafting QB's until you find one because you simply cannot win long term and can't win the big one without a great QB back there. (unless your the Ravens and have a top defense)
 
yeah football fans are tiring of a guy who brought us a division championship, an 11-5 record and a trip to the playoffs.
but yes after one game the "fans" are tiring of him. unreal.
we haven't had this great of a leader since #13 but lets bench him after 2 games....ugh!!
 
Because the fans are tring of him LOL. Do you really think the trifecta cares about what the fans are tiring of?

I've said it before a million times and I'll say it again. Had Henne showed enough in camp and preseason to start he'd be starting over our limited weak armed QB. But he didn't. There is no such thing as a player who doesn't practice well but plays well in games. NO SUCH THING. Finheaven will always be the same. If Penney struggles the Henne camp forms. If we switch to Henne and he struggles the Pat White camp will be formed. If we go to white and he struggles the try anyone camp will be formed. If Finheaven ran the Dolphins our QB situation would be the biggest circus in NFL history.
 
Go to the link for the original story. This Mark Miller took Michael Lombarid's story and proceded to make WAY more out of it than what was actual originally reported. Lombardi said the Penny needs to step it up, and Miller took that to mean if he plays badly he'll lose his job? What a bunch of BS from a hack writer.
 
i can't believe people worry about stuff like this when we don't even know if aliens helped the egyptians build the pyramids.

:lol: Egyptian and Myan pyramids have the same dimensions. coincidence? I think not!

I mean, ok, pennington was better than anything we had last year (beck, mccown, henne was a rookie), but how long do we wait to know if henne can play? you draft the guy to sit on the bench? and wtf does practice mean?

live game environment is where plays and men are made. late 3rd, we're down by 11, 3rd down and 12, let's see what the kids got... pennington's locker room presence and sideline coaching ability is still valuable so he can help coach up henne and lead the team in that way.
 
I honestly think we are going to see more of Pat White tonight.
 
i know this is a little off topic, but thought it would be stupid just to start a new thread for but go to miamidolphins.com and look @ Pennington's face in aquavision. Why does it look like half the time penny face looks dum?
