Other than the obvious fact that Eli has 2 Super Bowl Rings what are the biggest differences and similarities between these two QB's. Makes for interesting discussion, I believe. Let me start...... Eli's Accuracy & Instincts in the pocket are far better.................. :ponder:

One is a 2 time super bowl champion 2 time super bowl mvp 4 time pro bowl and lead his team to probably the greatest upset of all time.

Tannehill leads his team to the lunchroom and runs into the door.

Can Eli take this cast of Fins and do anything with them? That's what the threads above are implying.

Let's be honest though, he's the most unlikely 2x Super Bowl champion ever, coming as a wild card twice and plenty of losing seasons and leading the league in INTS. If it wasn't for his occasional ret ard strength which turns him into a great QB, he wouldn't be viewed as a great QB at all.

Dude I am still holding on to a glimmer of hope Tannehill rights the ship, but the writing is on the wall. Gase will have his opportunity to decide what to do with QB this offseason. If the season ended today we are taking a QB in the first round.

One is a qb other a WR playing qb

When Eli is surrounded by a great defense and running game, he makes the playoffs. When he isn't, he's 7-9. What makes Eli stand out is when he does have that surrounding cast, he elevates his game to the point where he wins the Super Bowl MVP. I think Eli has zero or one playoff win in the years other than the Super Bowl years. Eli is not a comparison for Tannehill. But he is what we hope RT can be. That is a guy that when he has the surrounding cast can step up and take the team to the title. Unfortunately we will never know because the rest of this team stinks.

2011 Giants #32 rushing offense #25 defense--9-7 SUPERBOWL--Tannehill would never lead a team like that to a super bowl let alone 9 wins...in all his time here Tannehills defense has never been worse than #21 and his rushing offense has never been dead last.

:bobdole: Please take a look at how they played in the playoffs before rolling out irrelevant statistics. Just get to the big dance and go from there. Many teams have gained momentum in the latter part of the year and are able to turn it on when it matters.

PA: 14 pts/g
PF: 25.5 pts/g

Ok and he still had to win 9 games with the worst rushing offense in the league and a sub-par defense. Therefore this whole notion that Eli is can't win without great defense and rushing attack is false he won 9 games. Yeah they turned it on during the playoffs but you can't turn it on if you can't make it.

Also they started 6-2 and finished 9-7 so they weren't exactly riding a tidal wave of momentum.
