Ok guys, QB competition is good an all but im affraid that we MIGHT loose trade value for C-PEP if we let him compete. Like i said MIGHT. Im just saying all the years DC has been playing who has his competition been? He has never really had a QB with what Trent brings to compete with. Its possible that Trent outplays him really bad, then again maybe not.

the ONLY thing that can happen if Daunte is given reps is that his value will INCREASE... there is no way it can be lower than it is now. Not only has Cam turned out to be a liar, he is throwing away what we spent on Daunte with no effort to recoup the losses.

The Phins have already told C-Pep that he's not in their future...that means there will be no competition. Green is the starter.

they said if they cant trade Culpepper they were going to keep him on the team to compete

and that make Cam a liar

Cam is not a liar. You are just bitter because you were wrong about the whole situation.

The NFL is a business.

Why should we be loyal to DC, he did absolutely nothing for the Miami Dolphins except rehab twice on our dime.

You can't trust him and he obviously did not fit in the plan.

If Daunte ends up injuring himself we owe him the full 5.5 million i think it was......dump him for a fifth or sixth....just get him outtie. He's not a thinker, doesn't read defenses worth a crap and his only attribute (his legs) is very questionable. Peace out!

Did you really expect Cam to come out and say we are planning to dump Daunte because we think Green will be the better fit and allow Chiefs GM peterson to know this. He did what he had to to get his guy.It is like a reporter asking what player are you going to draft this year with your first round pick and then you tell them the exact guy you want, it just doesn't work like that.

I think it's all symantics right now. There always could be the case made that if the deal for Green never got done, Cpep would have been in the mix for the starter role. But with the trade, it changed everything because we can't really afford to pay both their $$ salaries. So realistically one or the other was going to be here and the other was not. Now that Trent is here, that means Cpep is gone. While I don't like the thought of having wasted the 2nd we gave up for him last year, I hate the thought of dragging it out another year if it wasn't going to happen. Guess we'll never know. Now is the time to support Green and hope he can do at least some of what he was brought in to do. That hasn't happened with the last ???? bunch of QB's we've brought in to do this, so here's to hoping we change our luck on this!

I hope you remember that when Daunte refuses a trade because he wants to negotitate his price and his team, rather than saying what a "punk" he is. He doesn't owe this regime of the Miami Dolphins anything either.

I don't think Cameron is a liar. He had to say the things he did to keep the bargaining price for Green as low as it was. If we looked desperate for a QB, the asking price might have been higher for Green. I think Petersen knew Green would be the starting QB for this team, and that's why he was unwilling to take anything less than a 4th round pick. We really didn't have much bargaining position in that sense. So, Cameron saying the things he said doesn't make him any less honest in my mind.

With the cold shoulder Cameron has given Culpepper since his arrival as coach, I seriously doubt it will get that far. That's just too much money tied up to 1 position.(with Lemons recent deal and Beck's upcoming signing) Also, you know neither C-Pep or Green will want to be back ups this season and I'm sure they'll be vocal about it, which would be an unnecessary distraction. IF C-Pep's around for the preseason games, I can pretty much guarantee that it will be more of a "showcase" than a competition.

It has nothing to do with being 'bitter'. Cam said he was going to do one thing, and did the complete opposite. I dont see that can be construed as anything but a lie.

As another person posted, I hope you remember that the NFL is a business when Culpepper does what he needs to.

His value is going to decrease!? What is less then zero?
