let's go over the list of QB's that we won't mind if the Dolphins take them

I wouldn't mind Matt Leinart, Vince Young, Drew Olsen, Drew Staton, Omar Jacobs (the guy I most want), Chris Leak, and Charlie Whitehurst

they all are good prospects for us, I especially like Vince Young and what he brings to the table as a running threat with a cannon arm

Brady Quinn

Quinn wont come out. Besides another year with Weis teaching him will only help his draft stock next year. I'd love to get him though, I just pray he doesnt end up with a team I hate

am i the only one not sold on Leinart? i know the guy wins and puts up numbers. but he's not all that athlete and doesn't have that big of an arm and is surounded by some incredible talent. from what i've seen of him he's not all that affective when he's pressured. i just don't know about this guy. i'm not sayin he's gonna suck but i don't think he's gonna be this great QB like most people seem to think.

it's getting harder and harder for me to not think leinart is the best QB in the country right now. he's just too damn accurate

Senior QBs

1. Matt Leinart Southern Cal
2. Reggie McNeal Texas A&M
3. Jay Cutler Vanderbilt
4. Charlie Whitehurst Clemson
5. Kellen Clemens Oregon
6. Paul Pinegar Fresno St.
7. Brad Smith Missouri
8. Bruce Gradkowski Toledo
9. Darrell Hackney U.A.B.
10. Brodie Croyle Alabama
11. Erik Meyer Eastern Washington
12. Josh Betts Miami (OH)

The only 2 Juniors that should even consider leaving early are Omar Jacobs and Vince Young (Young probably won't, dunno about Jacobs).

Of the seniors, Leinhart is the only 1st round pick (Jacobs would be the 2nd QB taken, and Young would be a 1st rounder based on pure athleticism.)

Depending on when we pick, and who's available, we should wait to get a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round.

If we pick in the top 10 and Leinhart is available the only way we pass on him is if D'Brickshaw Ferguson (or maybe AJ Hawk) are available.

If we don't get Leinhart, we look at McNeal in the 2nd, but he would be a huge project (as would Young and Jacobs be).

Cutler and Whitehurst would probably be our best bets, but I would not sleep on Gradkowski, Hackney, or Croyle.

If the qb derby is not resolved in 2-3 years and god let's hope it is there is a kid at boise state that has everyone here having big dreams. Nick Lomax son of neal lomax is a red shirt freshman at boise. The kid is 6'6" and was all state in basketball and football in oregon. His senior year he threw around 30 tds. But the rumour is he is just coming into his own at bsu and has unbelievable talent size and arm strength. Just a thought as from my stand point the qb talent looks very spartan for the time being. Gus may play for a couple of years and we maynot need to panic just yet in the draft. Then again we maybe mortgaging everything to get Rivers who knows. Just thought I would be first to throw the kids name out there in case he turns out great I could say I told you so.
