I agree with you here. It would be especially nice if we had Harbaugh as HC, the Mannings wouldn’t pull an Eli with us if Harbaugh was here.

There’s a huge hole of day 2 QBs because many are returning for NIL and portal deals. It’s created a bathtub in ‘26 instead of the usual QB crop coming out “early”, so the QB pool needs time to catch up as more high value QBs max out their college eligibility imo.
Ole Miss’ Trinidad Chambliss applied for another year of eligibility. Doesn’t mean he’ll get it (FSU’s Thomas Castellanos was denied & entering draft) but he obviously is trying to go back.
ASU Sam Leavitt is evidently hitting the portal so doesn’t like he’ll be in the draft.
Cincinnati’s Brenden Sorsby is hitting the portal.
Combine that with USC’s Jayden Maiava and South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers whom both declared they were returning early.

I just looked it up. Our schedule next year is absolutely brutal—check this out.
We have the 2nd toughest schedule in the NFL based on opponent win percentage.
We play nine games against playoff teams:
Bills (2), Patriots (2), Chargers, Broncos, 49ers, Packers, and Bears.
The teams we play that did not make the playoffs are:
Chiefs, Vikings, Colts, Lions, Bengals, Jets, and Raiders.
I think the Raiders will be significantly better with a new coach and Mendoza.

Its the perfect year to tank with a weak roster, a lot of dead cap space, a brutal schedule and a great QB draft class in 2027.

Can’t afford him. More likely we draft Ty Simpson in the first round and trade a low round draft pick for Anthony Richardson to compete.

so annoying, why go through this? Mac is not the answer, might as well go with ewers and suck and get top qb next draft. Mac jones isn't much better than tua when Tua was good. Yeah he looked decent this season, but that's with shannan and that team and his system. Yeah mike came from that, but still, kyle made jimmy g look like somebody when we know jimmy was an average qb. If getting a FA go for malik willis with actual physical talent and tools. save some money with trading waddle maybe and get a pick and use for malik. I like waddle, but he's just not a real no 1guy I thought he could be, but he drops the ball too much, doesn't fight for the ball

great another alabama qb, we've seen how well that's been for nfl qbs. Mac jones a back up and Tua. His talent isn't all that great either
