Veteran quarterback Trent Green believed his career was over a mere three months ago after suffering his second concussion in as many years. Now he's looking forward to playing again.

In an exclusive interview with FOXSports.com, Green revealed he was cleared last week to return to football and now wants to sign with a team and play in 2008.

So this being said, there were rumors that the Fins were interested in him returning, do he become the Vet we need to keep tutoring Beck?

Trent's return would be a great benefit to Beck. However, is it too late in the game for Green's return? The new regime could already have their sights set on another veteran backup. Maybe this changes things, but I doubt it.

Depends on how well we upgrade our OL... I dont want to bring him back and then have him get knocked out again in 3 weeks like last year.

I don't know, I wasn't all that impressed with him last year. The major reason for bringing him in was that he knew the offense like the back of his hand and wouldn't need much time to adjust, yet he led the league in INT's before he was injured, he often overthrew his intended receiver, he made horrible decisions and his arm looked weak.

If Green is cleared to play, I think he immediately becomes the best veteran candiate just ahead of Todd Collins. I would think Miami would still have some interest in his service.

He would be ok to back up Anderson or Ryan and maybe start over Ryan for a little while.

I dont know... Depends on how good we upgrade our OL... He isnt the most mobile FA QB out there, and is going to need time to get the ball out, although I would say he is the smartest.

So you say he is signing with the Browns who tendered Anderson with the highest tender or the Falcons that will draft Ryan?:rolleyes2:

Green was awful before he got injured. He is done and is a major concussion risk. He is old, concussion prone and not very good any more. Why would we bring in a guy that is very unlikely to last a whole season. I would rather bring back Lemon although I dont like that either.

Maybe the Dolphins will sign him just to be the tutor the Beck needs. I don't really know because I'm not the decision maker, but I doubt he will be back. If we did sign him it would not be to play, that is I hope so...

No to trent. No to expensive Anderson. No to Ryan (we already have an unproven young qb).

Get a solid qb in later rounds and give the reigns to beck and have another young qb to develop.

use picks and money on other areas, the qb options are expensive and not that good if you ask me. Nothing that will put our team in a better position than what we have in beck.

Sorry i think Anderson is just too costly for a team that needs to spread the cash around. Besides, we need to find our own diamond in the ruff.

Yes, he Anderson would def be costly, and drafting Ryan would be even more costly than Anderson which is why we wont do that
