Moore, who is a former starter for the Dolphins, had an uneventful past three seasons backing up quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Miami's starting quarterback is very durable and has made 48 consecutive starts for the Dolphins. That’s left Moore with little game action. In talking with Moore, I get the sense he wants to explore his options. He’s one of the top backup quarterbacks in the entire NFL, but Moore wants a chance to compete for a starting job, which he hasn’t had the opportunity to do in Miami for the past two seasons.

He deserves the opportunity. He has a lot of potential. Hopefully we get him back for 2015. If not I wish him well.

We can't lose this superior talent.

Nice team guy, but he just ain't that great ladies and gents. See ya.

OH NO!!! Who is going to hold Tanny's clip board now!!!? I'd say hartline or Wallace ........but they would just drop it.

mat u should of left 3yr ago but u can start in nfl somewhere. they are lot bad qb in nfl day. good luck

People underestimate what a good damn job he did in 2011. Top 12 in QB rating and in the 12 games he started, he was 6-6 (this is after the team started 0-4 under Henne and 0-7 overall . . . so he finished 6-3) with 4 of the final 5 losses coming by 3 points or less.

Also the one game Tannehill got injured in his career (2012) . . . Matt Moore came in and lead the Dolphins to a 30-9 win over the Jets.

People will tell you Matt Moore is no good, that he can't be a starter, but honestly he never got the chance to show if he could be a good fit for Miami. The one chance he got he by all accounts exceeded expectations.

Pretty deep ball, he can move and he can manage the offense. He is prone to making the occasional bonehead decision, but the guy bounces right back and attacks, and I think that is what I like most about him.

The ship has more than likely sailed with his time in Miami, but it wouldn't surprise me to see him land on his feet and compete for a starting job in 2015. Hopefully we are smart enough to replace him with somebody better than Seth Labato.

Good Luck Matt.

Any trade value? Especially after preseason when the injuries begin to mount?

I think he goes to the Jets...Bowles will want him.

The Cardinals or Eagles wish they had a guy like Moore backing up Palmer and Foles this past year. He makes a lot for a backup and if RT keeps getting sacked 50-60 times a year his durability isn't going to last.

$4 Million is not too much for a solid backup who knows our system inside out. Some of the other crap backups make 2-3 Million.

I hope he gets a starting gig somewhere and I wish him good luck. But I have the dam feeling he'll go to the Jets or Bills and comes back to haunt us.

Then again if the Pats don't get punished I won't care anyways.

I could see Bowles signing him... Won a few games with him in Miami

I wish Moore the best where ever he ends up. He was always a stand up guy and was always supportive of what was going on. I guess I would be too if I was making $4M a year.

He'll be an asset for any team regardless of being on the field.

Buffalo is a great possibility. However I would think Arizona is also a good spot or even Tampa.
