QB Question

I know this has been disucussed many times but after the HOF Game, if A.J or Gus play extremely better than the other will Saban name the starter?

And while Im at it since I prob wont get to see the game because of football practise :cry: If Ronnie signs this week will he even get some playin time?

Probably not on both questions.

Whichever QB is named the backup for the HOF game will probably start the next game. Anybody can have an extremely good game (remember Fiedler on Thanksgiving?), so it would be foolish to name a starter based on performance in a couple of series in the first preseason game...especially when the competition is so close in camp. I wouldnt expect a starter to be named until one QB is CONSISTANTLY outperforming the other one.

As for Ronnie....I doubt he would play Monday. If he signed today he would only get a couple of days practice and even then it wouldnt be with the 1st string. At best Ronnie may get a couple of carries in the 4th qtr when there are very few players on the field you have ever heard of....and even fewer people still left in the stands.

I think Saban will wait until the last game of pre-season to name the starter.

I don't think Ronnie will get any carries if he signs today or tomorrow, maybe in the 4th quarter... but I really doubt it.

you have football already???, unless your going to be playing varsity cause i dont have football start untill like 3 1/2 weeks from now, or are you playing pop warner??

I think Ronnie wont get any decent playing time until preseason game 2 or 3 because he needs to learn the plays and schemes. Him signing today doesnt give him adequate time to learn the paybooks for Mondays Game. Yeah you heard me Mondays Game. Damn it feels good to have football back

HOF game we'll only see Gus and AJ for a series apiece probably. I think he'll name a starter before the season though so that the pronounced starter can settle in for the last couple preseason games. Rarely will the starters play more than a quarter in the last preseason game, that's also something to mention. But someone is going to have to outplay the other in limited time to make the decision easy.
