Once Cameron gets a first hand look at the QB stiffs , he will either pursue a free agent or hope to draft Quinn.
The reality is CPepp is a broken down QB who made his fame by throwing a deep ball to Randy Moss. He now is a slow, poor decision maker who has a questionable work ethic and doesn't have any future.
Harrington is astiff who can't read defenses and makes stupid throws.
Lemon is a marginal 3rd string QB who can hold the clipboard.
Either get FA Matt Schaub who has good potential or draft Quinn.

Perhaps he will want to bring in somebody else, but keep in mind he already has experience with Lemon. Whether that makes a difference or not I'm not sure, but what he thinks of Lemon is not going to be a new development. I do expect a significant QB move to be made within a year, but not neccesarily this offseason.

Actually, it's 'your reality' and we for all we know he loves DC or maybe even feels comfortable with Lemon. Just too early to say given he hasn't even evaluated them yet.

Yet his best season was with Moss injured....hmmm

You can't seriously question all the hard work he put in to recover from injury.

Like someone else said this is your reality.

I'd love to see Quinn here and really I think he's the only option for any quickfix. Just have to hope he pulls a Leinart.

Poor decision maker and questionable work ethic I can buy into, maybe the broken down part if he continues this downward spiral. But I think the real things that made Culpepper look good were his top OL, a complementary offense tailored by Linehan that made Gus Frerotte look good, and playmaking WR's not just Moss. We have none of those.

I agree with the possibility of singing quinn but the rest of this post is pretty much off. C-Pepp didnt miss any workouts or missed any rehab sessions. Steve young reported the same thing at a Miami game and when duante heard what Young had said he went down and called him out on it to youngs face. Young apologized and said his information was inaccurate. Daunte has been trying hard to get back on the field. The closest thing to the truth regarding this thread is your Matt Schaub take and that is far from happening as well

This is YOUR wishful thinking. Cam stated he liked DC'S attitude. He has also stated he will review his QBs and sit down and talk as a group.

HE HAS NOT STATED A FAVORITE YET!!!!!!!!!

Also, Lemon is VERY far from a marginal 3rd stringer. This statement shows that you obviously haven't seen him play. He has a better QB rating than harrington and has an overall average QB rating compared to the NFL. A 78 QB rating isnt that bad. Average, but not too bad

Which is why this thread stinks too...Noone knows what Cam is going to do with our QB's...We can all think that he is going to release Joey, kepp Daunte as the starter and promote Cleo while drafting a QB, but noone really knows

I watched Lemon play. He is very raw with questionable tools. He is a backup at best.
This team needs a fresh QB that has skill and potential.
None of the 3 will win many games.

See now you didnt say backup...You said he is a marginal 3rd stringer AT BEST (which is FAR worse than a backup-even worse than saying someone is just a 3rd stringer). He is a very capable 2nd stringer. he is accurate and has a very night tight spiraled throw. His "questionable tools" problem is only due to lack of experience, not because you may think he sucks (we havent seen enough of him to say he sucks, however, we have seen enough of him to merit him a good 2nd stringer). As far as the rest of the QB's on the roster, Duante gives us the best chance to win and none of us should be surprised to see him starting next season barring his healing process

if Schuab is available by some chance we should get him but he won't be so we should get Brady Quinn or Drew Stanton in the draft.

wow.

this thread has 4 votes for 8 points

that means someone actually 5 starred this horrible horrible thread. wow. just wow.

I'm sure Cameron is going to carefully evaluate all three quarterbacks and make the decision he feels is going to give us the best chance to win. I think that could mean any of the three of them could be our starter next year...including Harrington...and I'm willing to trust his judgment. He does have a history of making good QB decisions.

For the final time finheaveners: MATT SCHAUB IS A RESTRICTED FREE AGENT THAT WILL PROBABLY BE TENDERED AT THE HIGHEST VALUE.

Besides that, I too am of the opinion that Mueller and Cameron should make a strong push for Brady Quinn if Quinn falls below Cleveland.

A 2, 3, and 4 can get us the 4th overall pick in the draft. Marty Booker can fetch a 3rd rounder and Joey Harrington a 4th. Trade Marty and Joey to any takers, send Tampa our 2nd along with the 3rd,4th from MB/JH in return for Tampa's 5th and exchange 1st rounders.

That would leave us with: 1,3,4,5,6,7 and the franchise QB we've waited 8 years for to sit and learn the system under Daunte Culepepper for as long as it takes.
