I heard a rumor that Daunte Culpepper was almost traded to Arizona before the trade deadline for a first round draft pick. Then the Vikings would offer their two #1's to the Chargers for Phillip Rivers. (The Vikings are going to clean house.) I heard the trade could happen in the offseason. We'll if this is true, the Fins would be a more logical place for Daunte. He would be reunited for his offensive cordinator. That would solve at least one of our glaring problems!

these new threads keep getting funnier and funnier as the season goes on.

at this pace at the end of the season, VINNY TESTEVERDE IS AVAILABLE, WE SHOULD PICK HIM UP thread will be around.

I couldn't see anyone giving up two 1sts for Rivers. He hasn't proven anything yet.

A team would be stupid if they give up two first round picks for a unproven guy. I doubt that this rumor is true anyways.

I highly doubt there's much truth if any to the Daunte Culpepper rumor, I don't see anyway the Vikes trading him...

I would offer a 2nd rounder for Culpepper nothing more.
With that kind of thinking, You will never have a wining team.

That would be a horrible trade for the Vikings. Lets trade Culpepper & our #1 for Rivers, a probable bust. If that were to happen the NFL should just collapse the Vikings.

id take culpepper for a 2nd

if he doesnt work at qb you can throw him in an lb ( joke) hes a monster

What about the cap? Duante has a huge contract.

qb problem solved?

We all know how Saban will build through the draft. It occurred to me who will be availble and might be ideal - D.J. Shockley of Georgia.

He has only started this season and with his unfortunate injury probably will be IMO a 3rd or 4th round pick.

He has decent arm strength. He has accuracy unlike V Young who is spotty at best. He is not obsessed w/ running a la The Vicks

Further, Mark Richt is an offensive guru. D J had to have learned something from David Greene.

edit: BTW, Nick is probably familar with playing in the SEC.

Thank God none of you guys are GM's or this team...would be the junkyard of has been QB's.....Pretty Soon.....the bring back Scott Secules thread will start....

Culpepper sucks
Draft V. Young ?? He sucks too. Ever see him throw?

Did Saban and Mueller waste a 6th round pick on Lemon? Are we just wasting picks to save a few bucks?
