i have a feeling that the jets are gonna be too low to draft leinart so they are going to make a trade for rivers taking one team out of the race if they beat buffalo

tennessee will have the pick be4 them and norm chow reunites with leinart taking him out of the situation

and new orleans will be drafting too high so unless young comes out which i think he will they will draft a different position hopefully

allowing cutler to fall to us at hopefully seventeen because we are gonna knock the patriots off this weekend

I'm really hoping we make a play for Rivers. If they decide not too their will be alot of potential in this draft. Their are many promising young qb's that if they get in the right system could make a differance their rookie year. That is where Mueller and the scouts at the combine will show their worth.

Rivers throws the ball and I would much rather have someone with his talent than someone with Ferrottes well whatever he has throwing the ball 35-40 times a game. Look at Phillips stats in college and compare them to any of the possibles in this draft. How exactly does cutler fit an unknown system better than someone with more talent that don't know the system? Don't get me wrong I hope we get someone I just see alot more potential and greatness in Rivers because he proved it for four years and loves to compete and has always strived to be the best at any level. It's not his fault Bree's is also a competitor and did'nt do anything to give Rivers a shot.

Read this at ESPN. If Houston beats SF and N.O. loses to Tampa, Jets lose to Buffalo, Green Bay lose to Seattle. The draft order would be, New Orleans, Green Bay, Jets, Houston and SF. If New Orleans gets the first pick I would thing they would draft Leinart, since they are cutting Brooks.

New Orleans could draft third behind Houston and S.F. They would still be able to draft Leinart. Texans keep Carr and draft Bush, S.F. will keep Alex they have more needs than two high price Quater Backs.

g-force i agree with you one hundred percent i lved rivers when he was nc state and wanted to draft him ythat year b ut it depends also wat san diego wants for him if they want just a 1st rder i would but if they want a package of picks i rather get cutler u no wat im sayin

Yeah I say they will want alot especially since the team that gets him will have a 5 year deal already together and won't have to pay a signing bonus. It's just something that would tickle me to death but I'm not going to get to excited. I just hope Mueller and the scouts find someone that can contribute almost immediately.

rivers is terrible. hopefully the jets will trade for him.
Would you really want to play him twice a year? You have been totally against Rivers for a while and have yet to give a reasonable explenation why. What did Rivers do to you?

At least last week's game has officially killed the Steve McNair threads.

Say yes to Craig Nall. He's never thrown an INT in a real NFL game and was the most efficient QB in NFL Europe. ;)

what DIDN'T rivers do to me

actually he's not an NFL quarterback, that's more than enough reason to have something against him

And you base your opinion he's not an NFL QB on __________?
And no I am not a big Rivers supporter nor have I been promoting us going after him.
Not being an NFL QB could have been said about Drew Brees after his first couple of seasons at SD which were terrible.

It doesn't matter as long as we get someone who can contribute. You are intitled to your opinion but Dan, Marty, scouts, and almost the entire NFL would disagree with you. I will be willing to bet that if Rivers gets the PT the top qb's gets he will be in the top 8 in the league. Thats just me guessing and throwing things out like you.

Which is exactly what I think happens. Which is why I think the starting QB for the 2006 Miami Dolphins could very well be Aaron Brooks. Not sure I like the idea, but I have a funny feeling it will happen.
