FYI - It is hard to believe that it's been so long since we've drafted a QB so high. And a lot of people are convinced that we have to bring in Green. I'd like him too if CPEP's definitely not going to be ready, but I like what I'm hearing about Beck. I also agree that Ginn & Beck are better as a weapon then Quinn. Personally I think Russell's the only guy who's going to make an immediate / nice impact. Still take a look below & see who went before Marino & how they turned out.

#7 Todd Blackledge - KC
#14 Jim Kelly - Jills
#15 Tony Eason - Patsy's
#24 Ken O'brien - J.E.T.S. - suk, suk, suk
#27 Marino

* Another odd thing is that 5 out of those 6 teams that drafted QB's were all AFC East teams (Colts were Baltimore back then & in the East).

So I for one am hoping Beck is the future & gets some playing time this year! Go Fins!

Trivia doesn't have to be in the form of a question. However, did you have a clue just how many QB's went before Marino?????? :ninja:

Just a tidbit that previously when we drafted a QB (the Man) there were QB's that went before him, none of which hold a candle to him - well Elways wasn't bad - ha ha.
 
Well there were three qbs taken before Beck in the draft and lets just hope he turns out to be better than two of them.

I guess you missed it too. This was posted to quite all the winers that lost their minds when we didn't draft Quinn. :boohoo: Sometimes QB's picked later on do better then, those that go earlier. And some do much better, as in Marino's case. :tongue:
