2(56) - Ron Brace, NT, Boston College
3 - Patrick White, QB, West Virginia
4 - Ramses Barden, WR, Cal Poly
5 - Frantz Joseph, ILB, Florida Atlantic
6 - Cornelius Lewis, OT, Tennessee State
7(214) - Edwin Williams, C, Maryland
7(237) - Antone Smith, RB, Florida State
NEW MOCK - Version 2.0:
1st Round(25) - Darius Butler, CB, Connecticut:
We will now be lucky to get this dude (A few weeks ago he looked like an awesome 2nd round sleeper). If he slips past the Pats at 23 we will have a good chance at landing him, so cross your fingers. Best cover corner in the draft. Best fluidity in the hips. Can run with any WR (4.38 40 time). Solid size (5-11, 183lbs). has an great vert (43in). Best corner to come out in my opinion.
2nd Round(44) - Larry English, OLB, Northern Illinois:
Draft stock has started to decrease over the past few days. Once again if he gets past the Pats in the 2nd round we will have a very good chance of landing him at 44. Best pass rushing player in the draft. Tenacious at the point of attack. High energy guy. Hard working. Team first mentality. Reason for falling to 2nd round is his combine workout numbers were not outrageous. Runs a 4.82 40. Only pushed up 225lbs 24 times. 36in vert. Improved some of his numbers at his pro day. Would be a steal here. Clearly a great player on tape.
2nd Round(56) - Ron Brace, NT, Boston College:
Big dude (6ft-3in 330lbs). Best available DT/NT after the likes of Raji and Jerry. Ideal Run stuffer for the 3-4. Stout at the point of attack and has good strength.
3rd Round(87) - Patrick White, QB/WR/WC, West Virginia:
The most dynamic player in the draft (4.5 40). Threw the ball extremely well at the combine and at his Pro day. Ran routes in private workouts for a number of teams. Mr. "Wildcat" Himself. Could add so many more dimensions to our Wild cat formation. Might be somewhat of a reach.
4th Round(108) Ramses Barden, WR, Cal Poly:
Huge Target (6ft-6in 230lbs). Solid speed (4.5 area). Ideal Red Zone Target. Good Yards after Catch. Solid college career. Good run blocking WR.
5th Round(161) Frantz Joseph, ILB, Florida Atlantic:
The future our our ILB core (Along with Crowder). An intense and extremely physical individual. 3 year starter. Tackling machine. Ever so slightly undersized for a prototypical Parcells ILB (6ft-1in 240lbs). Nice value.
6th Round(181) Cornelius Lewis, OT, Tennessee State:
A big guy (6ft-4in 336lbs). Skilled enough to play LT after time to grow and learn. Our great depth guy to fall in behind our two stud Tackles.
7th Round(214) Edwin Williams, C, Maryland:
Has good size (6-2 308lbs). A young C to groom for life after Jake Grove.
7th Round(237) Tony Carter, CB, Florida State:
Undersized (5-9 179lbs). Can also be used as a KR/PR. 4.41 speed. Great candidate for nickel job. Can make the big play. Takes chances and gets beat at times. 39in Vert.
