Someone refresh me...have we drafted ANY QB since Marino that actually had a good chance of being a solid starter here? No big names come to my mind.

I think we're due for a Cutler, Quinn, or Leinart
 
Ummm Ray Lucas, Damon Huard, Jay Fiedler. Did you forget about that dynamic trio? Combined they were unstoppable.

I remember Wanny passing on Drew Brees and selecting Jamal Fletcher...when we already had Madison and Surtain??? I watched it live and almost sheet my pants what a piece of work that guy (wanny) was.

Huard was an unsigned college free agent who signed with Cinncinati on4-22-96
cut on 8/20/96 signed by Miami 4/25/97 released by miami 8/25/97 signed to practice squad 8/26/97 signed by Miami from practice squad on 9/6/97.

I always felt a little bad for Huard he was a young guy that did some good things under difficult situations. He is 5-1 as an NFL starter and won his first three games he started for Miami. I think the new regime just never really wanted him. I think Marino was right about thinking Huard should start even if Huard never would have done anything.

His career stats are 170 out of 279 for 1691 9 tds and 8 Int with a 74.3 Qb rating

No he wasn't. He was never drafted, we picked him up as a free agent.
