does anyone know where we are with Harrington? and if we are really going to make a move on a 2nd or third QB. and who?
Miami pulled the offer of a sixth round pick in 2007. Miami decided that they will wait until June 15th(when the Lions have to cut him) to sign him without giving up compensation. It is 99% sure that Harrington will be here, but it won't become official until mid-June. Miami and Joey have the upper hand since he has said he will only negotiate with us and that no team will trade for him with his current contract. Plus, the Lions don't want to pay him his big $4 million bonus on June 15th.dmarino213 said:does anyone know where we are with Harrington? and if we are really going to make a move on a 2nd or third QB. and who?

Once we get Harrington our QB depth chart will look like this:
1. Daunte Culpepper
2. Joey Harrington
3. Cleo Lemon
Yeah, it won't be easy having to wait until June. But it doesn't seem to bother Saban that much. Heck, with the good news flowing in about Culpepper, we may not need to count on Harrington week 1. Still though, I will feel a whole lot better about our quarterback situation once we officially add Joey.Finfang said:It scares me to death that Harrington won't be a Dolphin till late June and may have to start opening night if Culpeepper isn't ready.

Now someone will post how we don't need him because we have little vick now who probably won't even make the team. Then I will beat my head against the wall.

3. Brock Berlin/Newbee #11 (forgot his name)
And Kerry Collins is still out there.
