I don't about you, but I'm very confused about our quarterback situation. I know Gus is not a long-term answer, but he certainly could be a great number 2 QB because he is so familiar with Linehan's system.

Sage looked liked all toilet-bowl against Cleveland (no less) and then reinvented himself from that game forward and has looked absolutely terrific. Sage has everything you look for in a good QB and was possibly just nervous for the Cleveland game. Let's face it...the whole team stunk up the joint on that horrible day.

Then we have Mr. Cleo Lemon. I can't get past the name. From the great Dan Marino to.....Cleo Lemon. Man, that just doesn't sound like the right name to lead the greatest sports team in history for the next 5 or 6 years does it?

On the other hand, Hudson Houck witnessed Lemon every day and we did trade a 6th round pick for him. Or we sure this was just a fairly painless way to unload AJ or did we have sincere interest in this guy?

As far as adding to this roster, it would seem now that we may not be in a good situation to grab one of the top QB's. Is it possible that Lemon was the 2006 QB pick and maybe we won't spend any more picks on QB's?

I really think through free agency and the draft we'll be able to plug every hole we have right now, but the QB question and confusion remains......

I dont know about everything else you said but, as for Cleo Lemon, finding a good backup QB is just as important as finding a starting QB these days. Saban just found the backup before he found the starter.

i thinky you as well as everyone else on this board are REALLY spending way too much time on this lemon joker. All he is, is a guy we needed to take back in return for giving up Feely's contract.... san diego would have had 4 qbs.. and didnt want to take a cap hit by cutting lemon, so they shipped him to us.

I guarantee we will adress our QB situation, be it in the draft or in free agency, i don't know... but i don't expect Gus and Sage both to be back next year.

And maybe he found his starter....before he acquires his future backup....right now....only Saban and Mueller know for sure.

Yea, so we wasted a late round pick, when we don't ahve many, just to get rid of AJ :sidelol:

Anyways, for all we know Cleo will start next year. We don't know Saban's plans. We do know that whoever we draft WILL NOT BE STARTING NEXT YEAR. So, Gus or equilvalent aging vet FA QB will start or battle Sage or Cleo for the start while mr drafted QB is grommed.

My money is on next year is Gus starting, Cleo backing up while being groomed and mr drafted QB at 3rd being groomed.

If they don't get a quality QB we will not make it.
Look at the teams in the playoffs do you see a QB that's not better than what we have?

Gus will probably be here...don't know about Sage.

We will draft a QB IF the one we want is available at the time...

we need to pick up a good vet with potential, Ramsey fits that profile, he played well against the giants and will see what he does with the Eagles.
We should all keep in mind how bad Gus is you need to look at the teams he beat.
Other than the Chargers and SAge did that he hasn't beaten a team with a winning record.
Forget Denver we got lucky with them.

Yes. Garrard, Bledsoe (if they make it), Ramsey or Brunell (if they make it), E Manning, Orton or Grossman. Now before every body flips their lids, the list i just posted does not mean I would take Gus over all of them. Several of these QBs (Manning, Chicago QBs and Garrard) are still very young and have more value. However, I truly believe Gus is better than everyone on that list at this point in time,

nope I don't agree i take Bledsoe Ramsey any of them before Gus.

However I do agree with the Rich stadium thing

Thats alot more probable than may of the people who post here would think; because they dont want Gus to stay, and I don't blame them.

Bledsoe? Look up statue in the dictionary and there will be a picture of Drew

Ofcourse Gus is known for his quick feet and pin point accuracy.

Phins do you relly believe Gus can win after how he played this year?
