From what I've read, Linehan should open up the offense quite a bit, as compared to what we've seen in the past few years.

Do you guys think that, with the plethora of Miami RBs, Linehan will use the play-action as much as, say, Indianapolis? Indy uses the play-action extrememly well and it gives the QB time to scan the field. I have to admit that I've not seen much of Minnesota's offense under him, but know that they didn't have great RBs in the backfield. Turner used it effectively when Ricky first came in. Along with the play-action, I know that the O-line has to block well. I was just wondering if you all think the play-action will play a big part of this offense?

I would say that it will probably be used quite a bit

Not only will he use lots of play action, but I wouldnt be surprised If we use more trick plays and gutsier plays. He also wont be making any stupid decsions.

Play action actually helps the OL block. They focus on the runner for a split second and that gives the QB just a little bit more time to make his throw and the play develop.

You need the threat of the long ball to open up the short game and vice versa. The key word is versatility.Keep the defenses guessing the whole game.

I just want to see some of the old Jamie Nails days, where he was pulling around the outside, and leveling three defenders. Let's go Houck, fire them boys up!

I think Jeno will come back from his injury year, and I think Hadnot will bring the pain this year! I think he will start at center, but i just want to see him get in there. i want to see this O Lone pull around the corner like no other, and stomp mud holes in the defense!

Play action will be a big part of this offense as long as the OL can hold up for that extra 1/2 second. It benefits his philosophy of aggressive downfield passing to use it as such since it can possibly freeze the D for that instant it takes a wr to come open.

I can't say that about Lindman, some of his play calling in Minny didn't excite me that much. In the playoffs last year, he threw the ball way too much, never allowing his team to eat up some clock which might have gave them a chance. Even with Culpepper, Moss and the other great receivers their passing game wasn't always on, Lindman didn't conpensate for that too much. He's never had a R. Brown, R. williams, and L. Gordon in the back field at once. This may change some of his plays, and allow us to beat some teams with our legs..especially those days that our passing game isn't working well.

Without Moss and Culpepper, Linehan is a huge question mark. I could call plays with Moss and DC.

You have nothing close to Moss and DC, and nothing close to that OL.

Good, I hope you and your team keep thinking like that!

WHy? What so far fetched about what I said? McMicheal is a threat he will use, but his success came because of Moss and Culpepper. The hardest combo to defend in the NFL.

We have nothing close to duante but overall our wr's/rb/te is better than minny's.

Moss > Chambers (who for arguments sake is miamis #1)
Burelson = Booker
Boston > Marcus Robinson
McMichael > Wiggins
Kleinsasser > Donald Lee/Sammy Morris
RW> Bennett
Ronnie is likely > Mewelde Moore...or at least better be better than Mewelde Moore.

Conversely Im very anxious to see what Minny's guys do without an offense as simplistic as linehan's.
